Nipsey Hussle and Bino Rideaux's 'PROLIFIC' Is Rooted in Legacy and Los Angeles Hip Hop Heritage

Nipsey Hussle's estate has announced the release of PROLIFIC, a collaborative album created with fellow Los Angeles hip hip storyteller Bino Rideaux nine years before its imminent release.

At last, PROLIFIC is confirmed for a global release on Friday, August 14. Set to span 15 tracks, the album's latest single, "Sacrifices," dropped today, which features contributions from James Fauntleroy alongside Hussle and Rideaux.

In addition to the new single, today also marks the official release of a lineup of PROLIFIC merchandise pieces, ranging from graphic tees to limited-edition vinyl.

“We’re proud to present PROLIFIC, the collaborative project Nipsey created with Bino and brought to life sonically by Mixed By Ali,” Hussle’s brother, Samiel “Blacc Sam” Asghedom, shared in a statement with Hypebeast.

"We are honored to be able to release the PROLIFIC album in the exact way my brother envisioned it. This isn’t something that our team compiled together; this is the body of work Nipsey created with Bino top to bottom. He was very proud of this project, and we feel blessed to finally be able to share it with the world.”

“Sacrifices was a masterclass of creative energy,” added Bino. “Minimum conversation, all hands on deck, and the unpredictable genius of James Fauntleroy. Constant flow of vibes and gems on and off record.”

While we've still got about two months until the drop, you can preorder the album and cop all merch at the PROLIFIC official website, and run up "Sacrifices" on all streaming platforms now.

Nettspend Navigates His Newfound Global Fame on 'early life crisis'

At just 18 years old, Nettspend finds himself in a pretty unique spot. Initially donning a staunch "underground" label, pretty much confined to his internet era-induced, IYKYK sound and label, the teenage rapper has rapidly ascended into the mainstream music scene in no time. Still revered for his strides in the post-SoundCloud space, cementing his own lane with a growing discography defined by distorted production, blown-out beats, and braggadocio beyond his years, the young musician continues to find himself at the forefront of major moments across the zeitgeist, propelling him beyond his Gen-Z guardrails and up the ranks of the global cultural radar.

Nett's latest longform delivery – aptly dubbed early life crisis – is a no-holds-barred assessment of the unique position he's in. Like the lines of the mainstream and the underground, the lines of adulthood and adolescence are blurred across the 21-track endeavor, genuinely eyed by all ages and ends of the music industry.

Last week, Nettspend was supposed to drop the album. February 27 was the original release date, and all eyes were on him. Nett ditched the plan, pushed the album another week, and walked in Demna's debut Gucci show in Paris instead. All eyes were still on him after his appearance on the runway, which ultimately just catalyzed even more anticipation for and directed more eyes to the record's release.

A clear level up from 2024's BAD ASS F*CKING KID, early life crisis hears Nett dial in his distortion a little bit, taking more risks with production, and tapping into the full spectrum of emotions on more introspective tracks than we're used to seeing from him. Features come from fellow underground-meets-mainstream titans, OsamaSon and YoungBoy Never Broke Again, who contribute to "pain talk" and "masked up," respectively.

Nettspend Dials In His Distortion on early life crisis

Nettspend’s BAD ASS F*CKING KID was rooted in a childlike chaos. Now, still just eighteen years old, the rapper has unveiled the follow-up, aptly entitled early life crisis. BAFK found Nett stuck to the “underground” label, pretty much confined to his internet-induced, IYKYK sound. But as of late, he has rapidly ascended into the ranks of the mainstream music scene. A more dialed-in successor to his studio debut, the 21-track offering blurs the boundaries of the mainstream and the underground, and adolescence and adulthood.

Harry Styles Reminds Us: Kiss All The Time. Disco Occasionally

One of the most anticipated releases on today's first New Music Friday of March was Harry Styles' fourth studio album, also his first in four years. Kiss All The Time. Disco Occasionally.'s 12 songs showcase the musician's fine-tuned artistic range that only seems to continue to extendin reach. Dancefloor-ready existentialism meets electro-alt production in the expansive KATTDO universe, which feels fresh yet filled with intentional references. It also feels very The 1975-coded.

The Scythe Has Landed

Denzel Curry's souped-up supergroup has officially made their formal introduction. Spanning Ferg, TiaCorine, Bktherula and Key Nyata, three of the five members rep the South with pride; Curry, of course, calls South Florida home, with Bk settling in from Atlanta, and Tia coming in hot from Winston-Salem, North Carolina. The culmination of cities showing up on Strictly 4 The Scythe envisions quite the electrifying listen from the jump. The full-throttle formal introduction to their group's dynamic range of motion spans an explosive eight tracks, all rooted in seasoned Southern tropes of the past, yet geared aptly for the future.

A post shared by HYPEBEAST (@hypebeast)

For the first time in three years, Baby Keem took the stage in New York City. In fact, the rapper's second show ever was in NYC at Baby's All Right. Keem was slated to host a vinyl signing event for CA$INO last week that ended up getting cancelled due to weather, so he rescheduled and took it up a notch. After hinting at a potential performance on X, Keem officially announced the one-off performance on Wednesday, March 4, at 9:01 a.m. EST. Doors opened at Webster Hall (for those unfamiliar, a 1,500-person intimate concert hall in lower Manhattan) at 8:00 p.m. that same night. Tickets went for $31 USD and sold out in minutes. Needless to say, it was an early contender for show of the year.

Nettspend's Lookbook for the Early Life Crisis Tracklist

Leave it to Nettspend to delay the album – and then do the most when it's time for it to actually drop. Last week, Nett had all eyes on the expected release of his globally eyed Early Life Crisis album. In true Nett fashion, in the eleventh hour, plans changed; instead of dropping the album, he delayed it and walked in Demna's debut Gucci runway in Milan instead. A fair trade, to be quite honest. This week, the rapper returned to his ELC rollout with valor, promising a March 6 release date, preceded by quite the dynamic tracklist reveal. Instead of a typical announcement, he had a lineup of fans pose in the album's merch and state their favorite song from the album. The final product? A lookbook-style unveiling of the full slate of songs set to appear on the record.

Yeat Confirms A DANGEROUS LYFE / A DANGEROUS LOVE Release Date, Cover Art, And That It'll Be A Double Album

A post shared by @yeat

It's been a big week for news on Yeat's A DANGEROUS LYFE, and the rapper has really doubled down – literally. After months of speculation (and nearly years of anticipation), Twizzy has finally formally lifted the veil on the A DANGEROUS LYFE announcement. At first, the rapper took to his Instagram to confirm the official release date for ADL – which has now been cemented has Friday, March 27, aka three New Music Fridays from now – via new billboard. The billboard also seemed to potentially hint at a double album format, a theory the rapper then confirmed on Instagram yesterday when he revealed the official cover art for the project, which will be billed as A DANGEROUS LYFE / A DANGEROUS LOVE.

The Scythe Is on the Scene and "on Some Other Sh*t"

Hypebeast knew about The Scythe long before it was announced. While Denzel Curry formally lifted the veil on the souped-up supergroup in mid-January, we got word of an imminent "Ferg and Denzel collab project" back in December at Miami Art Week, when the Florida rapper pulled up alongside TiaCorine to Ferg's Flip Phone Shorty film screening. At the time, details still remained under lock-and-key, but the off-the-record confirmation alone made for a hard enough secret to keep. Here we are, three months later, and The Scythe has landed on the scene in its full form with a vengeance, equipped with a full-throttle formal introduction to their dynamic, dialed-in range of modern hip-hop motion.

The Curry-helmed collective consists of Ferg, TiaCorine, Bktherula, and his fellow Raider Klan collaborator, Key Nyata; Seattle-bred Nyata and Harlem-hailing Ferg aside, three of the five members rep the South with pride, with Curry, of course, calling South Florida home, Bk settling in from Atlanta, and Tia coming in hot from Winston-Salem, North Carolina. The culmination of cities showing up on Strictly 4 The Scythe envisions quite the electrifying listen from the jump across just eight tracks, with the entirety of the production handled by BNYX and his younger brother BRYVN's Working on Dying unit.

In Curry's own world, "The Scythe is a family and a group. We still have our respective solo careers, but when we come together, it is The Scythe."

1. The Scythe feat. A$AP Ferg and TiaCorine
2. Lit Effect feat. Bktherula and LAZER DIM 700
3. Phony feat. A$AP Ferg, Juicy J, and Key Nyata
4. Mutt that Bih feat. 1900Rugrat and Key Nyata
5. Hoopty feat. TiaCorine and Smino
6. You Ain’t Gott Lie feat. 454 and Luh Tyler
7. Tan feat. Bktherula and TiaCorine
8. Up feat. A$AP Ferg, Rich The Kid, and SadBoi

Right off the bat, the turbocharged trifecta of Ferg, Tia, and Denzel kick off with "The Scythe," a perfectly pulse-pounding introduction to the high-octane, half-hour record. This trio, specifically, who teamed up for the first time, formally, for June 2024's "HOT ONE," hops on with a more seasoned sonic synergy, with T packing a witty, well-penned punch from the get-go before handing the head-banging beat off to the boys.

"Lit Effect" was a single for a reason, BK her own atop gritty, Memphis-geared production alongside LAZER DIM 700. Another standout non-Scythe feature comes from Juicy J on the following track, "Phony," another amped-up apex of the adrenaline-spiking eight-tracker leveled up by a contagious hook: "I had to cut the shit / They on some other shit / This strictly for the scythe / We on some members only shit."

Other non-member appearances come from a range of both underground ascendants and genre pioneers. 1900Rugrat shows out on recent single "Mutt that Bih" and 454 slides on "You Ain't Gott Lie," while Smino spits with Tia on "Hoopty," and closing cut "Up" spotlights support from both the old guard (Rich The Kid) and the new guard (SadBoi).

Rooted in the past, representative of the future. Strictly 4 The Scythe is out everywhere now.

Dijon's Hot Streak Continues, Confirms New Album Is on the Way

Summary

  • BABY follows up Dijon's Absolutely, which dropped in November of 2021

Dijon has been busy – really busy.

Typically a super lowkey guy who flies fully under the radar (unless it's time to grace us with a release), the enigmatic artist has had quite an eventful two weeks.

To backtrack, in the past 14 days alone, the genre-bending musician has been noticeably nudged into the mainstream with his contributions to Justin Bieber's surprise album SWAG, offering his production hand to a good portion of the album ("THINGS YOU DO," "DAISIES" and "YUKON" incuded) as well as a vocal feature on one of the album's high points, "DEVOTION."

As if the deluge of new music wasn't enough, just last week, fans caught sight of Dijon in a new trailer for Paul Thomas Anderson's forthcoming war film, One Battle After Another. Dijon is seen sitting next to the film's star, Leonardo DiCaprio, for a brief, few-second-long clip. But similarly to how Dijon fans can almost immediately tell if the musician had a hand in a song's production based on a singular guitar riff, Dijon fans will spot the musician even if he merely flashes the screen for an instant.

While fans continued to reel in the most front-facing Dijon content we've gotten in years, he took to his Instagram story to share the news everyone has been anxiously anticipating since Absolutely's release in 2021. The musician shared a tentative tracklist for his new project, which seems to be titled BABY, with the playlist titled "BABY [MASTERS]." Other titles include "HIGHER," "FREAKIT!," and "YAMAHA."

Unfortunately, that's all the info we have at the time on BABY, but stay tuned as more information on Dijon's new project surfaces.

JID is just heating up. With his fourth studio album due out in just over a month now, God Does Like Ugly, the artfully penned Atlanta rapper is revving us up for the anticipated release with a proper prelude to the project, or what he's calling a "Preluxe."

The Dreamville rapper has packaged four tracks that didn't end up making the final God Does Like Ugly tracklist into a straight-to-the-point EP dubbed the GDLU (Preluxe). Now, while JID did drop his "32 (Freestyle)" earlier in the week (the same day he announced the surprise July 4 release of Preluxe), the rapper's latest freestyle installment isn't one of the four new tracks. "Behold" opens the mixtape as the only solo track, followed by features with Lil Yachty, 6LACK and Eminem.

If the throwaway project includes an Eminem feature, there's no telling what JID has in store on the proper GDLU release next month. Possibly an "Animals (Pt. 2)?"

1. Behold
2. Knew Better (with Lil Yachty)
3. Lisa (with 6LACK)
4. Animals (Pt. 1) (with Eminem)

Stream GDLU (Preluxe) – out everywhere now, and expect God Does Like Ugly to drop everywhere on Friday, August 8.

Bad Bunny Unveils Music Video for “NUEVAYoL”

Summary

  • “NUEVAYoL” blends salsa and dembow, sampling “Un Verano en Nueva York” to honor Puerto Rican musical roots
  • The video features moments of cultural pride, including a quinceañera and scenes of everyday Nuyorican life
  • Released on July 4, the visuals highlight themes of identity, heritage and connection to Puerto Rico

Bad Bunny has just released the music video for “NUEVAYoL,” a standout track from his chart-topping album Debí Tirar Más Fotos, which held the No. 1 spot on the Billboard 200 for three consecutive weeks following its debut. The video dropped on July 4, a deliberate release date that underscores the song’s themes of identity, resistance and diaspora pride. It also directly nods to one of the song’s opening lyrics, anchoring the visual in personal expression.

A standout on the album, “NUEVAYoL” dives into the dembow genre, known for its infectious, high-energy rhythms. It opens with a nostalgic sample of “Un Verano en Nueva York” by Andy Montañez and El Gran Combo de Puerto Rico — a classic salsa anthem — blending old-school musical heritage with modern urban beats. The result is a vibrant fusion that pays homage to Puerto Rican culture while carving space for it in today’s global soundscape.

Visually, the video unfolds as a heartfelt tribute to the Nuyorican experience: the layered identity of Puerto Ricans living in New York. It celebrates cultural pride, resilience and joy, even far from the island. The opening scene sets the tone: Bad Bunny hops into a cab and asks, “¿Y este frío cuándo se acaba?” (“When will this cold end?”), instantly contrasting the literal chill of the city with the emotional warmth of the community moments that follow.

The narrative then flows into a quinceañera — a coming-of-age celebration steeped in tradition and family — highlighting the continuity of Puerto Rican customs across generations. Later, the video cuts to a powerful, symbolic scene: Bad Bunny placing the Puerto Rican flag on the Statue of Liberty, which mirrors activist Tito Kayak’s act of planting the flag on the statue’s crown in the late 2000s.

Bad Bunny is then seen saluting from the crown of the Statue of Liberty, draped in the Puerto Rican flag. The scene quickly cuts to a group huddled around a radio, listening to a deepfake of Donald Trump issuing an apology to immigrants, saying, “I made a mistake. I want to apologize to the immigrants in America… This country is nothing without immigrants. This country is nothing without Mexicans, Dominicans, Puerto Ricans, Colombians, Venezuelans, Cubans.”

Drake Premieres “What Did I Miss?” Music Video in Cinematic Livestream to Launch New Album Campaign

Summary

  • Drake kicks off album rollout with a cinematic hour-long livestream, previewing unreleased music
  • The track "What Did I Miss?"— released on all platforms July 5 — addresses betrayal and reignites the feud with Kendrick Lamar
  • Additional unreleased songs hint at a mix of Hip-Hop and R&B, with teased track "Super Max Deals"

Drake is gearing up to release a new album expected to release summer 2025, with many speculating it to be named Iceman, following the release of an hour-long YouTube livestream titled "ICEMAN EPISODE 1" teasing what fans can expect. In the video, he plays a fictional employee at a Toronto ice storage facility called “The Iceman,” using a cinematic, narrative-driven format to build intrigue. The concept hints at the album’s possible theme, blending scripted storytelling with subtle nods to real-life tension and emotional undercurrents.

Midway through the video, a TV in the break room shows archival footage of a young Drake, which cues into an exclusive premiere of his new music video "What Did I Miss?" The track directly addresses the highly publicized feud between Drake and Kendrick Lamar. He calls out unnamed individuals for "playing both sides," rapping pointed bars like:
"You switched on the guys and supported a hater" and
"It's love for my brothers and death to a traitor."

Some fans believe these lyrics may also be aimed at NBA stars LeBron James and DeMar DeRozan — both longtime friends of Drake who have mutually supported each other's endeavors. Their appearance at Kendrick Lamar’s Pop Out concert in L.A. has fueled speculation, especially as reports suggest Drake's relationship with DeRozan has become strained following the latter’s public support of Kendrick during the ongoing rap feud.

While his new track “What Did I Miss?” grabs most of the spotlight, the video also teases several unreleased songs, including one titled “Super Max Deals” — an R&B-leaning cut reminiscent of “Do Not Disturb” in tone and delivery from his earlier album More Life. As expected, the upcoming album appears to blend both Hip-Hop and R&B, offering a range of sounds for fans across genres.

With its blend of raw lyricism, immersive storytelling, and interactive fan moments, the rollout marks one of Drake’s most creatively ambitious promotions to date. First teased in August 2024, Iceman is shaping up to be a long-awaited, multi-layered project.  Stream his new single “What Did I Miss?” on Spotify and Apple Music below, and check out the full livestream above.

Provoker Invites You to Enter the ‘Mausoleum’

Jonathon Lopez started Provoker as a solo effort, designing scores for sci-fi and horror films. Vocalist and songwriter Christian Crow Petty and bassist Wil Palacios later joined Lopez, creating the beloved synth pop trio that Provoker is today. They assembled Body Jumper -- an exploration of virtual worlds -- as their first studio album in 2021, following it with the fantasy-inspired Demon Compass two years later. Now, the Los Angeles-based band has just released their third complete body of work, Mausoleum, published by cult-favorite Swedish indie label YEAR0001.

Upon entry, the Mausoleum welcomes you with haunting vocals backed by eerie synths and lucid bass lines, all of which take form in an abundance of ghastly shapes throughout the album’s 30-minute runtime. Absent of features, the 11 tracks instead see Crow Petty morph his vocals, offering emotive crooning to gravelly growls as he tells stories that intertwine with one another across the album as an anthology -- melancholic singles like “Pantomime,” for example, illustrate how falling in love brings about a sense of insanity.

We caught up with two-thirds of Provoker -- Crow Petty and Lopez -- ahead of the album’s release today to discuss their creative process, Crow Petty’s excitement for playing Oblivion Remastered after shows while on tour, and, of course, Mausoleum.

Provoker Mausoleum Album Interview christian crow petty jonathon lopez release date info year0001 kenny beats

Mausoleum is your third studio album to date. Where are you taking us this time?

Christian Crow Petty: We’ve explored sci-fi and fantasy settings with previous albums and this time around we’re based in reality. You can still expect the same supernatural feeling to it though.

Jonathon Lopez: From a music standpoint, it sounds bigger. We connected with Kenny Beats who ended up executive producing Mausoleum, beefing up the tracks without changing our personal sound.

Christian, your writing for the album was inspired by your time spent in an Echo Park attic. Can you walk me through what that experience was like?

JL: I’m in that attic right now.

Really?

CCP: Yeah he lives there now. Every member of the band has at some point, it’s a special place. The stairs to it lead right to the living room so I would hear people come over to the house but be too shy to come down. Instead, I haunted the place like a ghost with my creaky footsteps and faint singing in the background. A lot of songs on the album are written from this perspective of isolation.

We’re immediately thrust into a scene of heartbreak with the opening track, “Swarm of Flies.” How does this set the tone for the project?

CCP: It’s a devastating song. It’s partially inspired by Beauty and the Beast, and follows a heartbroken man who becomes a monster. This fantasy lens we use to evaluate real-world issues has become our signature approach to songwriting.

How’d you end up connecting with Kenny Beats?

JL: He hit us up on Instagram, and we ended up hanging out, not even planning to make music. Eventually, he picked a song to rework, and he killed it. Kenny joked that he had no idea if we liked him the first time we met, but we ended up hitting it off and we were excited to have him work on all of the album's songs.

"We got obsessed with recording skits, so after spending two hours completing a song, we’d then spend four hours writing a skit for it."

What was your favorite song on the album to make?

JL: Honestly, there isn’t one in particular that stood out. We made a ton of songs with Elliot Kozell [a producer who’s worked with the likes of SZA and Yves Tumor] and only a few ended up on the album.

CCP: The most fun ones with Elliot aren’t even out.

JL: We got obsessed with recording skits, so after spending two hours completing a song, we’d then spend four hours writing a skit for it.

CCP: The songs would pause in the middle and feature a minute and a half of dialogue and sound effects.

As a group that dives into whimsical and surreal themes, your music videos see you bring these to life. How do you approach the medium?

CCP: When I’m writing a song, I often find myself envisioning what the video would look like. There’s usually a story in the songwriting that lends itself to translating to video with ease. We’ll often have directors start by reviewing lyrics, and they’re typically able to pitch ideas that align with our vision based on just that.

Was the “Pantomime” MV your favorite one to film to date? Jumping around the bounce house together looks quite fun.

CCP: It’s funny because that song and “Another Boy” [the lead single with a music video] are the only ones on the album to not have a real-life scenario attached to them. Filming it was brutal. We all got sweaty, and I hurt my back trying to do a flip.

JL: As an adult, bounce houses suck. They’re a real workout. One thing you don’t realize as a kid is that you have so much energy to burn.

Another type of worldbuilding you’ve explored is creating your own video game. What inspired you to make it?

JL: The Demon Compass LP had a choose-your-own-adventure story that we wrote and later wanted to turn into a game. I sent out a few cold emails and ended up working with a game maker in Paris for a year as a project in the background. We went with PS2-style graphics, and the game ended up being really fun to work on. I definitely want to do more explorative projects like that.

"I just bought a Steam Deck yesterday after Jonathon put me on."

What are some of your favorite video games?

CCP: Elden Ring was a big part of my life. I went a little too deep playing that game so I don’t play it anymore. I bought a Steam Deck yesterday after Jonathon put me on. It’s pretty sweet, I also just got Oblivion Remastered.

I’ve been watching my friend play and it looks incredible.

JL: I’m afraid to buy it because I don’t want to spend too much time playing.

CCP: Well, we’re going to be on tour so that’s what I will do.

JL: When I bring my Steam Deck on tour, I end up in the hotel room too tired to play.

CCP: I have to do something before bed, whether it’s walking or watching something, so I’m excited to have this to play. The band will see blue light all night long in the hotel room.

Horror movies and other films have also been a point of inspiration for the band. Are there any cinematic works that have captivated your imagination lately?

JL: Ever since David Lynch died, I’ve been rewatching his movies and continue to deepen my adoration of his filmography. I always enjoyed it growing up, but as an adult, there are slower parts that I have a better appreciation for now.

"I don’t think about how hard something will be to perform when I’m making it, so I often end up hating my past self."

You’ve got your headline tour coming up. Other than assembling your Steam Deck setups, how are you preparing for it?

JL: Practicing a lot. The funny thing about making a song is you end up shelving it for an extended period of time and don’t learn to play it until it’s time to tour.

CCP: I don’t think about how hard something will be to perform when I’m making it, so I often end up hating my past self.

JL: Christian made the guitar riff in “Another Boy” and I have to learn it. As it turns out, it’s basically a guitar solo for the entire three and a half minutes. It has the most riffs of any songs we’ve ever made so I’m just shredding the whole time.

What about the tour are you most excited about?

JL: Cruel World [a festival held at the Rose Bowl in Pasadena, California] will be fun. It takes place before the tour but will be a great way to kick things off. It’s also nice seeing our friends in different cities while we travel.

CCP: I’m especially excited to perform the new songs.

Is there anywhere you would love to perform some day?

JL: We haven’t done Japan yet, that would be cool.

CCP: I want to tour Asia for sure, I especially want to go to Taiwan.

In what setting do you recommend listening to Mausoleum for the first time?

CCP: In a pitch black room.

JL: Definitely alone.

What’s next for Provoker?

JL: We’ve got the tour lined up and nothing solid after that. We have a ton of songs we didn’t use, not to mention all of the skits too, so it would be cool to put that out in some way.

CCP: More videos.

JL: More videos would be fun.

The Moon Man has made his return to Earth. Marking his first new song of 2025, Kid Cudi has lifted the veil on new studio single "Neverland," a project he's been building up to in recent weeks.

Cudi announced he'll be making his Tribeca Film Festival debut with the premiere of his short film of the same name, presumed to be a longer form music video for the track.

Neverland isn't Cudi's first foray into the film space – with recent roles in X, Trap and his own Entergalactic – though it is his most grandiose visual endeavor. The film features direction from Cudi's X collaborator Ti West, production from Jordan Peele's Monkeypaw Productions and the musician himself alongside Kiernan Shipka.

As for "Neverland" the solely sonic offering, the nearly four-minute track ushers in a new era for the rapper, taking an upbeat indie-inspired tone.

"MY NEW SINGLE NEVERLAND IS OUT NOW!!!," Cudi wrote in an Instagram caption. "My friends, I've been waiting for this moment for a long time. I hope u all enjoy it. A fully solo offering, the 14-track LP signals her most soulful and honest LP to date, arriving on the heels of a milestone year for the musician, which was marked by the birth of her first child.

Uchis gracefully laid the groundwork for the expansive tracklist with pre-release singles "Sunshine & Rain..." and "ILYSMIH" – the latter having the ellipses as part of its stylization, immersing us in the heartfelt, handwritten letter that she deems Sincerely, to be.

The Colombian-American songstress swerves effortlessly between genres and influences, leaning into a myriad of music styles and making for an immersive case study on the curative powers of love.

Romantic, refreshing and raw, Sincerely, reminds us of Uchis' range; while the project's predecessor, ORQUÍDEAS saw Uchis lock in and hone her reggaeton-inspired bag, Sincerely, sees Uchis go B2B on sentimental piano ballads and soulful, upbeat doo-wop.
