Davido has unveiled the visuals for “10 Kilo”, a track from his April album “5IVE” — and it’s every bit as playful, stylish, and bold as the music.

“Ọrọbọ ten kilo” is Davido’s affectionate nod to a voluptuous, stunning woman, and the music video, directed by Director Pink, brings that vision to the screen. It opens with beautiful, curvy women taking centre stage, strutting down what feels like their own runway. We’re sure you’ve heard it everywhere. Davido and Omah Lay’s voices pouring out of speakers, taking over the moment as Omah Lay gently sings, “Baby the weather is getting cold / Cold inside…” before Davido follows with the unforgettable line, “Sweet Fanta Diallo / I no fit forget you o…”

Davido sampled Chimezie’s iconic track “Because of English” on “With You” and has openly acknowledged the inspiration. Seeing the legend himself in the video is a brilliant nod to the song’s roots and cultural richness.

“With You” is a romantic Afropop number about love, longing and deep connection. It is one of the memorable tracks on Davido’s latest album, “5IVE.” The video is directed by Dammy Twitch, who brings the warmth and rhythm of the song to life.

“Ladies and gentlemen, the legend himself… history in the making.” That’s how Davido and Cobhams Asuquo chose to break the news, the two music powerhouses are teaming up for an exciting new chapter. Cobhams, the legendary Nigerian producer and musical genius, will serve as the musical director for Davido’s upcoming 5ive Alive world tour.

Set to kick off on 11 July in Los Angeles, the North American leg of the tour will run through to 20 November, ending in Atlanta.

“The 5ive Alive tour musical director!” Davido says in a studio clip, arms around Cobhams, clearly thrilled. “I’m excited, I’ve always known, but I’m excited,” Cobhams responds with a smile. “It’s an honour and a pleasure,” he adds. “Today is the first time I heard what he’s been working on and I’m blown away… It’s time to get to work and start rehearsals,” Davido says, both of them visibly buzzing with energy.

Sharing the same video on Instagram, Cobhams wrote: “I’m super excited to be MD for the 5ive Alive World Tour. Davido, the superstar with the big heart. We ‘bout to keeel this!”

Davido’s longtime manager, Asa Asika, who recently tied the knot, also shared his enthusiasm: “Now this is what we’re talking about! Well done Davido for taking the genius of Cobhams Asuquo with you on the world tour. Together, you guys will kill it.”

Just days after releasing his sixth studio album ‘5ive,’ Davido is keeping fans on their feet with the official video for  ‘Offa Me,’ the sixth track on the project featuring American singer-songwriter Victoria Monét.

In  ‘Offa Me,’ Afrobeats meets RnB in a duet that explores themes of desire, intimacy and emotional honesty. It’s a track where two lovers speak candidly about what they want from each other, both physically and emotionally. At its core, it’s about connection and the feeling of being fully seen and desired by someone you trust.

The video brings these ideas to life with performances from Davido and Victoria as they exchange verses.  Victoria also delivers a strong dance sequence alongside a group of dancers, her movement matching the confidence and sensuality of the song. It’s the kind of visual that makes you want to get up and learn the choreography yourself.

Reflecting on the collaboration, Davido shared how the song came to be. “I met her at the 2024 Grammys, and she won three awards that night. She was on fire,” he said. “I feel like this record is the perfect matchup of what she does and what I do. It’s going to be one of the biggest records on the album.”

After months of eager anticipation, the wait is finally over! Afrobeats icon Davido has dropped his highly anticipated album ‘5IVE,’ and fans around the world can now exhale in sheer joy.

This 17-track album, marking his fifth studio release, follows the massive success of ‘Timeless.’ For Davido, ‘5IVE’ is more than just another album, it’s a “victory lap” celebrating both his personal milestones and the incredible rise of Afrobeats.

“This is definitely about celebrating the longevity and how far we’ve come,” he shared with Apple Music.”It’s been a long, long journey. Afrobeats is in an amazing place. Everybody’s doing well, all the way from South Africa to Ghana to Nigeria. For us to have risen and taken this culture and the music to such heights-we have our own categories at the Grammys, at the Billboard Awards; we have our own festivals selling out more than the festivals in America. It’s crazy. Because of the nature of the whole genre, everybody’s messing with the culture. So every album is to push Afrobeats further.”

In ‘5IVE,’ Davido continues to push the boundaries of Afrobeats, infusing it with global influences. The iconic log drum of South Africa’s amapiano sets the tone, while Caribbean and Latin rhythms flow alongside classic Afrobeats vibes. “I love bringing different worlds to mine,” Davido explains. His collaborations include Victoria Monét, Shenseea, Tayc, Dadju, Chris Brown, Musa Keys, Shizzi, Marvey Muzique, DJ Maphorisa, and Nigerian stars like ODUMODUBLVCK, Omah Lay, and Chike.

Ahead of the album’s full release, fans got a taste of what was to come with singles like ‘Be There Still,,’ ‘Awuke,’  and ‘Funds‘.

Just 72 hours to go until you’ll be vibing to ‘5IVE,’ the highly anticipated fifth studio album from Afrobeats superstar Davido.

Setting the tone for the big release, Davido unveiled the official tracklist on Instagram today, and it’s packed with 17 tracks featuring genre-spanning, cross-continental collaborations. Expect guest appearances from Grammy-winning singer-songwriter Victoria Monét, Chris Brown, Latin pop sensation Becky G, and fellow Nigerian stars Chike, ODUMODUBLVCK, Omah Lay, and Victony.

Davido has already teased a few tracks ahead of the drop — ‘Be There Still,,’ ‘Awuke,’  and ‘Funds‘ — each giving fans a taste of what’s to come.

Sharing the tracklist on Instagram, he wrote:

“Legacy is not what you leave behind, but what you breathe into the future. 72 hours away! Thank you for the love & support.”

Adding to the momentum, Davido is currently on his ‘5IVE’ city tour, hitting Los Angeles, New York (where he linked up with the Chess in Slums kids), Atlanta, Paris, and London.
