The Premier League have released a shortlist of the best manager for the February 2026 after they led their team to an impressive run with the month in review.

Who are the nominees for Premier League manager of the month?

(1) Keith Andrews (Brentford)

Brentford boosted their European qualification prospects by taking 10 points from a possible 15 in February. The Bees began the month with back-to-back away victories against Aston Villa and Newcastle United, before coming from behind to earn a point against league leaders Arsenal at the Gtech Community Stadium.

(2) Michael Carrick (Man Utd)

The Manchester United manager has been nominated for the second successive month, the reigning Manager of the Month continues to lead Man Utd’s resurgence. Carrick carried on where he left off in January by beginning February with successive home wins over Fulham and Tottenham Hotspur. Man Utd's unbeaten run was extended further with a 1-1 draw at West Ham United before they returned to winning ways against Everton.

(3) Pep Guardiola (Man City)

Man City enjoyed an unbeaten February, winning four and drawing one of their five league games. City's month began with disappointment as they ceded a two-goal lead to draw 2-2 with Spurs. However, they recovered impressively to win four games on the spin, triumphing against Liverpool at Anfield before winning successive home games against Fulham and Newcastle and seeing the month out with another three points at Leeds United.

(4)Arne Slot (Liverpool)

Liverpool were beaten in agonising fashion in their first game of the month, conceding two late goals in a 2-1 defeat to Man City. However, they followed that with three successive victories, beating both Sunderland and Nottingham Forest on the road by a 1-0 scoreline before winning 5-2 against West Ham at Anfield.

The winner of the award will be announced on Friday, March 13, 2026.

As the Premier League season nears its climax, the battle for the UEFA Champions League qualification is heating up among the clubs.

Several top clubs are vying for a coveted spot in Europe's most sophisticated club competition in the world. The top five teams at the end of the season in the Premier League will get an automatic slot in the Champions League due to Arsenal's victory in the first leg of the game against Real Madrid.

Here's a look at the teams in contention for the 2025/26 UEFA Champions League.

Liverpool and Arsenal have secured the first two spots following their impressive form at the beginning of the start of this campaign. That means there are just three spots left for the remaining five clubs vying for Champions League football next season.

The next three spots will be occupied by the following clubs;

( 1 ) Manchester City:

Despite the poor form of the defending Champions for most of the campaign, we believe that Manchester City will secure qualification with their current form in the Premier League. City have an easy run of games which should be enough for them to finish in the top four at the end of this season.

(2) Chelsea:

This is a bit different from what most people expect to happen when the final five teams stand at the end of this season. However, just like last season, we believe that Chelsea will finish the season on a high winning most of their last five games especially the home games against Everton and Manchester City.

(3) Newcastle United:

The final spot will be taken by Newcastle United, we are giving them a chance to complete the top five because of their recent form towards the end of the season. The Magpies won their first trophy for the first time since 1970 following their Carabao Cup victory over Liverpool in the final.

Newcastle have a run of games that should not be a problem for them, though it won't be an all-round victory in the last five games but they would get enough points to secure Champions League football.

The right-back, who’s been a pillar of the club’s success over the past few years, is now expected to make a high-profile move away to Spanish giants, Real Madrid.

Slot, already stamping his authority early into his reign, has responded swiftly. In Trent’s place, Conor Bradley will start Liverpool’s final game of the season, a clear sign that Slot is planning ahead.

He had said in an interview, “Conor will start on Sunday because he needs more games under his belt to prepare for next season. Let’s not compare him with Trent, they are two different types of players… we have a lot of confidence in him as a very good full-back for Liverpool.”

Vitor Pereira has been voted April 2025's Premier League Manager of the Month, having won the award for the first time in his career.

The Wolves head coach claims the award after his side had an outstanding month, with his side winning all five matches in April to confirm their Premier League status for the 2025/26 season. 

Pereira is the fifth Portuguese manager to win the prize overall, after Jose Mourinho, Andre Villas-Boas, Nuno Espirito Santo and Bruno Lage, three of whom also managed Wolves.

However this is the fourth time a Portuguese manager has won the monthly accolade this season as he joins Nothingham Forest boss Nuno, who won the award in October, December and March with Nottingham Forest.

Pereira came out top of a five-man shortlist after votes from the public were combined with those of a panel of experts

Liverpool's midfielder, Alexis Mac Allister has been named the winner of the Premier League Player of the Month for April 2025.

Mac Allister scored twice and also got one assist in five matches for Liverpool last month, which was pivotal in helping his club seal their second Premier League title in five years.

This is the first time a player from Argentina has received the Premier League Player of the Month since January 2020, when Sergio Aguero won it with Manchester City. Mac Allister wrote his name into the history books by becoming the fourth Argentinian to claim the award.

The other Argentines that have won the award includes Carlos Tevez and Juan Sebastian Veron. He is the second Liverpool player to win the award this season, after Mohamed Salah, who won it in November 2024 and again in February 2025.

Mac Allister topped an eight-man shortlist after the public's votes on the EA Sports website were combined with those of a panel of football experts.
