Nike is set to release the Shox Z in a “Black/Pink Foam” colorway, arriving in a streamlined silhouette that updates the Y2K Shox legacy. The upper, dressed in stark black, is constructed from a lightweight, breathable textile for comfort and durability.

Pearlescent "Pink Foam" accents add a striking pastel twist to the monochrome base. Before the five NBA championships, the 81-point game, and the global "Black Mamba" phenomenon, Kobe Bryant was a teenage phenom dominating the courts at Lower Merion High School in Pennsylvania. Honoring the origins of his legendary basketball journey, Nike is officially bringing back a beloved 2010 classic with the upcoming release of the Nike Kobe 5 Protro "Lower Merion Aces Away."

Serving as a direct tribute to Kobe’s alma mater, the "Lower Merion Aces Away" colorway brings a healthy dose of nostalgia mixed with modern performance upgrades. As its name suggests, the shoe's design takes direct inspiration from the school's road uniforms, employing a striking "Metallic Silver/Team Red-White" color palette.

Taking a closer look at the details, the sneaker's lightweight synthetic upper is dominated by a sleek, shimmering Metallic Silver base. The high school's signature Team Red provides a sharp, aggressive contrast, boldly outlining the profile Swooshes, the heel counter, and the iconic Sheath logo on the tongue. Anchoring the design, crisp white accents hit the laces and the midsole, seamlessly bridging the metallic and crimson tones. Of course, the most important detail remains intact: the Lower Merion "Aces" logo proudly stamped on the heel, ensuring the high school connection is front and center.

Beyond its sentimental aesthetics, the 2026 "Protro" (performance retro) edition updates the 2010 original with modern tech. Designed for the rigorous demands of today’s game—as recently seen on the feet of NBA players like Lonzo Ball—the shoe features an upgraded Zoom Air cushioning setup and improved traction, guaranteeing it performs just as well on the hardwood as it looks in a collector's display.

For fans of Kobe's enduring legacy and high school basketball lore alike, this drop is an absolute must-have. The Nike Kobe 5 Protro "Lower Merion Aces Away" is slated to release on March 23, 2026, via Nike SNKRS and select global retailers.

Release Date: Summer 2026

The Nike Total 90 III is officially stepping off the pitch and onto the pavement with its latest "Black Denim" rendition. As the early 2000s football wave continues to hold strong across the cultural landscape, Nike keeps digging into its archive to deliver lifestyle-driven updates that seamlessly bridge the gap between performance heritage and modern everyday wear.

Swapping out the model's standard synthetic construction, the upper is now enveloped in a robust black denim. The material boasts a slightly faded, charcoal tone that introduces subtle texture and character without overcomplicating the aesthetic. Crisp white accents punctuate the dark base, appearing on the lateral Swooshes to provide a clean, high-contrast visual break.

Despite the lifestyle-focused material overhaul, the silhouette strictly retains its defining heritage features. The oversized "90" badge remains prominent on the medial side, complemented by the signature stitched forefoot panels that instantly recall the original Total 90 lineage. Subtle "total90III" embroidery near the heel anchors the design. The low-cut profile rests on a solid black sole built for grip, utilizing a traction pattern that maintains its indoor court origins with functional pivot points and herringbone sections. Inside, a padded collar and a simple insole graphic complete the comfortable, everyday build.

  • Nike just revealed the First Sight collection, featuring three new hybrid silhouettes designed for women
  • The Noir combines the styling of a track spike and loafer, Mirage a football boot and Oxford, and Shadow a basketball shoe and boot
  • Dropping first is the Noir, which arrives on March 20, with the other two models landing on shelves later this year

The Nike First Sight line is a new campaign bringing fresh energy to women's footwear. Designed to emphasize self-expression, three hybrid styles have been created by the brand. “What looks cool, appeals to her, and feels new and exciting? We wanted to ground this collection in Nike’s athletic DNA while opening it up to the future through the lens of sportswear made distinctly for her,” shares energy footwear expert Jeff Scott.

Leading the collection is the Noir, which draws inspiration from track spikes and loafers. Previewed previously, the model is sleek with strong geometry present for the tooling. Another merging of two worlds is accomplished with the Mirage, which nods to football boots and Oxford dress shoes. A unique cushioning system sees 3D-sculpted TPU spikes stand out. Rounding out the range is the slip-on Shadow, blending Nike Basketball's '00 DNA with classic boots.

The rollout of the Nike First Sight collection begins with the Noir, which debuts on March 20 via Nike SNKRS and select retailers at an expected starting price of $125 USD. From there, the Mirage and Shadow are set to drop later this year.

Original Story: Cactus Plant Flea Market and Nike are responsible for creating some of the most unique footwear we've seen in recent years. Designs like 2023's Air Flea 2 stand out with not just one defining element, but multiple special details.

While we weren't treated to any kicks from the duo last year, it looks like 2025 will see them again revisit the Dunk silhouette. The two covered the Dunk Low in jewels in 2020, resulting in one of the most valuable pairs of the past decade. From there, the Air Flea 1 saw the sneaker reworked into a new style entirely. According to a new report from Sneaker Market RO, a "Swamp Sponge Dunk" is due to drop this year. With the only known details being its name and the color arrangements, there's no telling what the two have cooked up for sneakerheads this time.

At the time of writing, neither Cactus Plant Flea Market nor Nike have confirmed that this rumored Swamp Sponge Dunk project is on the way. Stay tuned for updates, including a first look at the three colorways, as it is currently forecasted to land on shelves this fall via Nike SNKRS and select retailers at an expected price point of $150 USD per pair.

  • Jaden Smith has been named Christian Louboutin’s first-ever Men’s Creative Director, a historic appointment for the brand
  • Smith’s vision blends the house’s classic elegance with a modern sense of utility and wearability
  • His first collections will be presented in January at Louboutin stores and at Paris Fashion Week

In a historic move for the world of high fashion, Christian Louboutin has appointed Jaden Smith as the first-ever creative director for its men’s line. The appointment is a landmark moment, as Smith is the only person other than Christian Louboutin himself to hold the creative helm of the luxury house since its founding in 1991.

The decision to entrust the 27-year-old artist with a creative vision for a company valued at over $3 billion USD signals a bold new direction for the brand. Smith’s philosophy is a blend of Louboutin’s classic elegance with a distinct, modern point of view. In a statement, Louboutin spoke about Smith's new role at his company, "I found him very interesting, very kind, and very, very humble, and above all, very interesting: The way he is, the way he dresses, the way he thinks." Smith told WWD, "This is the one of the biggest honors of my life, and I feel a lot of pressure to be able to live up to everything that Christian has done for the house, and also stepping into such a serious role. When he reached out to me, I was just blown away, because of how similar we are and how much we like to do things in a similar manner. I can’t wait to show the world what we’ve been working on. I think that the universe of Christian Louboutin men’s has so much potential."

Christian Louboutin himself expressed his excitement for the partnership, describing their creative discussions as a “ping-pong” of ideas fueled by a shared “enthusiasm and curiosity.” Smith's first collection is highly anticipated. An avant-premiere will release at select Louboutin stores in January and online, followed by his first seasonal men’s line at Paris Fashion Week. Jos denit Fall/Winter 2026 collection will hit stores next May.The appointment is a testament to Smith’s unique influence and a new chapter in the legacy of the iconic red sole.

When CLOT and adidas announced themselves as partners once more, the two quickly made it clear that they had plenty of ideas to work with. However, the sheer output from the two in less than two years has been impressive, especially when considering that they've continued to rework just three sneakers: the Superstar, Gazelle, and Stan Smith.

The duo introduced the Stan Smith Espadrille earlier this month and now we have a preview of their next remix of the Superstar, a "Patchwork" colorway. This new composition for the shelltoe sneaker sees it pair various patterns and textures together, including houndstooth, suede, and corduroy. Its color palette shifts between forest green, orange, off-white, and various brown hues while golden nods to CLOT come courtesy of the midfoot's lateral text and the shoe's heel branding. Meanwhile, the stitched sole unit features the duo's ripple sole finish, elevating the sneaker.

At the time of writing, neither CLOT nor adidas have discussed their upcoming "Patchwork" rendition of the Superstar sneaker. Stay tuned for updates, including official launch details, as we expect it to arrive on shelves by the end of the year via adidas, JUICE, and select retailers.

Sperry's Definitively American CVO Classic Gets "Japan Made" Upgrade

28 juillet 2025 à 17:25

Summary

  • For its 90th anniversary, Sperry is releasing a "Japan Made" edition of its Classic CVO, with an expanded toe for a sharper look and tailored for the Asian foot shape. The model, exclusively offered in Japan, includes a limited-edition Mount Fuji logo and will be available in canvas on July 31 and suede on August 28.

As American shoe manufacturer Sperry celebrates its 90th anniversary, the brand reimagines a classic silhouette, beloved by US President John F. Kennedy, and once the official shoe of the US Navy, with a special "Japan Made" edition. Arriving in two special drops, the Classic CVO Japan Original is made from carefully selected Japanese materials and manufactured with the craft-centric ethos of Japanese design.

For a truly reinvented silhouette, Sperry has expanded the toe by .5 cm to provide a sharper, elegant effect. In addition to the subtle toe box updates, the body is consciously designed to comfortably fit the Asian foot shape, as the model will be exclusively offered in Japan.

Other than the limited edition workmark incorporating an illustration of Mount Fuji, the shoe largely mirrors the sensibilities of the original. Further enhancing the non-slip intentions of the original 1934 model, the outsole boasts "RUBEAR NR" technology composed of domestic rubber.

Sperry has slowly but surely increased its global presence, placing a specific focus on the Japanese market. With Japan's affinity for American traditional style and prep fashion, the boat-shoe pioneer is leaning into the cultural design dialogue taking place between the two cultures.  In addition to a recent leather boat shoe with NYC-boutique Colbo, the brand also released a capsule of CVO sneakers with ubiquitous Japanese brand BEAMS PLUS.

Set for release on Sperry Japan on July 31, two canvas models will be offered in a classic duo of White and Navy. Later on August 28, a series of suede editions will be offered in Navy, Cocoa brown, and Off-White.

Original Story: Jordan Brand has been celebrating the 35th anniversary of the Air Jordan 4 this year with one anticipated release after another, including the introduction of its low-top "Remix" silhouette. However, the Jumpman team has plenty more in store for the silhouette when looking past 2024. Everything from a reissue of the UNDEFEATED x Air Jordan 4 to another Nike SB-designed colorway has been rumored to drop next year and another exciting drop has just been teased.

The sneaker insiders over at zSneakerHeadz, Sneaker Files and Sneaker Market RO have just shared a new report, indicating that the "Black Cat" colorway of the Air Jordan 4 is expected to drop again next year. It was a sought-after look back in 2006 and returned for the first time in 2020 (pictured above). While it can cost over $1,000 USD for a pair on the secondhand market now, the all-black color composition is expected to make its return at some point in the next year or so.

At the time of writing, Jordan Brand has not yet confirmed that the "Black Cat" colorway of the Air Jordan 4 will be returning next year. Stay tuned for updates, including a first look at the familiar pair, as we currently expect it to drop in late 2025 via Nike SNKRS and select retailers around the $215 USD price point.

New Balance is poised to reintroduce a foundational icon to its lineup, celebrating the enduring appeal of its heritage running models. The New Balance 1300 "Navy" is set for a stylish return in Summer 2025, bringing its classic design and subtle modern touches to a new generation of enthusiasts. This highly anticipated release is expected to be a key highlight within the brand's distinguished "Made in USA" collection.

The "Navy" colorway of the 1300 is a testament to sophisticated simplicity. It features premium navy pigskin suede meticulously wrapping the mudguard, midfoot, and heel areas, offering a rich, tactile experience. This deep, classic hue is perfectly complemented by a light blue knit mesh, which forms the breathable base of the upper, creating a smooth and visually appealing combination of texture and tone. Further enhancing its iconic status, the shoe proudly displays the oversized "N" logo on the side, adding bold character to the profile. A subtle yet significant update can be found on the heel clip, which now features a clean, modern New Balance font, bridging the past with contemporary branding. The tongue is dressed in light blue leather, adding a fresh touch to the shoe's top section.

The 1300, originally introduced in 1984, earned its place as a luxury runner due to its advanced construction and premium materials. It has long been revered for its comfort, featuring an ENCAP midsole that combines a polyurethane sole with an EVA foam core for a luxe, lightweight cushioned feel. As a "Made in USA" model, the "Navy" iteration continues New Balance's unwavering commitment to superior quality and domestic craftsmanship.

Update: The Air Jordan 8's OG "Aqua" colorway was first rumored to be returning a year ago. Now, it's finally time for the beloved colorway to make its comeback. As noted in our previous discussions below, the sneaker maintains all of its major detailing, including the distribution of blue and purple against the black and gray backdrop. Release remains expected to take place on July 19 via Nike SNKRS and select retailers at a new starting price of $215 USD.

Update: As the rumored return of the Air Jordan 8 "Aqua" draws closer, a potential release date has been revealed. @zsneakerheadz reports that the "Aqua" is set to hit shelves in full family sizes on July 19, though at the time of writing Jordan Brand has yet to confirm the news. Read the original article and previous updates below for more info, and stay tuned for release confirmation.

Update: After rumors of the Air Jordan 8 "Aqua" making a return to market in 2025 began to swirl back in July, we've now been given a first look at the forthcoming release. And, much like the lion's share of Air Jordan retros slated for the upcoming year, the brand seems to have taken the old "if it ain't broke, don't fix it" adage to heart. Uppers boast familiar black and medium grey paneling, in line with the original 1993 release and prior retros that dropped in 2015 and 2018 (longtime Air Jordan fans will note, however, that 2007's "Aqua" retro used a non-OG monochromatic black upper). However, there is one significant difference — though it's one that only dyed-in-the-wool purists are likely to mind. The signature aqua blue and purple midsoles are presented without their normal sparkle detailing, providing a slightly more mature look than past retros.

Get your first look at the 2025 Air Jordan 8 "Aqua" retro above, read the original story below for more info and expect this retro to touch down sometime in July for $210 USD.

Original Story: 2025 is gearing up to be the year for retro re-releases from Jordan Brand. The Air Jordan 8 "Aqua" is slated to make a come back next summer. Seen worn by Michael Jordan during the NBA 1993 All-Star Game, the shoe has a recognizable silhouette and make. With an upper crafted with premium nubuck to give the shoe its luxe feeling, while maintaining the classic basketball aesthetic, the shoe has touches of color to give the show its signature look. It has a tri-tone chenille Jumpman on the tongue, giving a nod to the classic AJ8. Inspired by Tinker Hatfield's Air Raid silhouette, the shoe also features a midfoot strap for added stability to enhance the inner bootie system. The "Aqua" colorway is amongst one of the three OG colorways debuted in 1993. Stay tuned next summer for the release.

Nike is set to release the beloved 2001 Nike Shox R4 SE silhouette in a fresh colorway with more intricate detailing. Staying true to the original, the updated women's exclusive features a synthetic leather and textile upper, now dressed in soft ivory tones with striking celestine blue accents throughout. Sculpted design lines cross through the eyestay for added dimension, while laser perforations offer improved breathability and comfort — all nodding to its early 2000s roots. Originally designed as a performance running shoe, the Shox R4 is now often worn as a bold lifestyle staple.

Adding to the nostalgic tribute, the insole features “BRX” in bold pink cursive — a nod to Blue Ribbon Sports, Nike’s original name. Shocking pink accents also appear on the toe box and heel, tying the color story together through subtle yet impactful details. One standout design element is the cloud-traced Swoosh, which reinforces the sneaker’s dreamy, celestial aesthetic and brings the entire design full circle.

Unlike typical Nike soles, the heel showcases visible Shox units in a deep blue polyurethane foam, enhancing both the shoe’s futuristic aesthetic and its energy return. This cushioning system evenly distributes weight for optimal comfort and support. Blending retro roots with futuristic flair, this special-edition women's sneaker returns as both a nostalgic icon and a modern-day essential.
