Beyoncé Joins the Billionaire Ranks After Success of Cowboy Carter Tour

Beyoncé has officially joined the billionaire club.

According to Forbes, the Grammy-winning superstar is now the fifth musician to reach billionaire status, following the success of her Cowboy Carter tour and years of steady earnings from her music catalogue and global performances.

The 44-year-old artist joins an elite list that includes her husband Jay–Z, Rihanna, Bruce Springsteen and Taylor Swift. Jay-Z became the first musician to achieve billionaire status in 2019.

Forbes reports that Beyoncé crossed the billion-dollar mark after the Cowboy Carter tour grossed more than $400 million in ticket sales, alongside an estimated $50 million in merchandise. The tour followed the hugely successful Renaissance World Tour, which brought in nearly $600 million in 2023.

While Beyoncé has expanded her business interests in recent years — launching haircare brand Cécred, whiskey label SirDavis and previously fronting Ivy Park — Forbes notes that the bulk of her wealth still comes from music. Revenue from touring, her catalogue and sponsorship deals remain her strongest assets.

Earlier this year, Forbes estimated her net worth at $800 million and predicted she would cross the billionaire threshold following another strong touring cycle. That projection has now been confirmed.

Beyond the tour itself, Beyoncé also earned significantly from related projects. She produced a concert film from the Renaissance tour and distributed it directly through AMC cinemas, securing nearly half of the film’s $44 million global box office gross. A Netflix Christmas Day NFL halftime performance and a series of Levi’s commercials added tens of millions more to her earnings.

In total, Forbes estimates Beyoncé brought in $148 million in 2025 before taxes, making her the third highest-paid musician in the world this year.

Her latest album, “Cowboy Carter,” released in 2024, was met with critical acclaim and went on to win Album of the Year at the Grammy Awards — the first time Beyoncé had taken home the category after four previous nominations. The project also marked a significant moment in her career, spotlighting and contextualising the Black roots of country music.

While some dates on the Cowboy Carter tour saw ticket price adjustments, the tour still broke records at venues including Tottenham Hotspur Stadium in London and Stade de France in Paris. It also recorded the highest top-priced ticket of any artist visiting the UK in 2025.

Beyoncé Closes Cowboy Carter Tour with Surprise Destiny’s Child Reunion in Las Vegas

Yesterday, Beyoncé gave Las Vegas a night steeped in history, sisterhood, and joy as she wrapped up her Cowboy Carter tour at Allegiant Stadium. After nearly three months on the road, Queen Bey chose to close things out by taking us back to where it all began – with Destiny’s Child.

When Kelly Rowland and Michelle Williams stepped onstage, the crowd erupted. Dressed in co-ordinated gold looks, the women walked out like the royalty they are, performing “Lose My Breath” for the first time in seven years. They followed it up with Beyoncé’s “Energy” and brought the house down with “Bootylicious.” It was a moment of pure nostalgia. The last time we saw them perform together was Coachella in 2018, and before that, Beyoncé’s Super Bowl Halftime Show in 2013. So yeah, this was a big deal.

The night also felt like a celebration of Black women in all their glory. The VIP section was also a show of its own. Oprah Winfrey and Gayle King were spotted clapping along like proud aunties, while Kerry Washington and Khloé Kardashian tried and failed to keep their cool. Oprah was basically the headliner for the celebrity audience.

And in true Beyoncé fashion, she didn’t even bother with a long explanation. She just dropped one photo of herself, Kelly, and Michelle on Instagram, looking like pop royalty, and left us to deal with the excitement on our own.

Beyoncé Brings Out Jay-Z for a Sweet Kiss & Surprise Performance at Her Atlanta Cowboy Carter Finale

Beyoncé wrapped up the final night of her Cowboy Carter tour in Atlanta with a moment fans won’t be forgetting anytime soon, a surprise appearance from her husband, Jay–Z.

During the third night at the Mercedes-Benz Stadium, the crowd erupted when Beyoncé said, “Give it up for my man, Jay-Z,” as he walked on stage to join her for “Crazy in Love.” The couple looked completely in sync, with Beyoncé smiling as Jay-Z rapped his verse. She later walked over to him, kissed him, and left him to continue with “Public Service Announcement.”

This wasn’t just a sweet moment for the Atlanta crowd, it was a rare one. Jay-Z hasn’t performed live with Beyoncé in the U.S. in years, and this marked his second surprise appearance on the Cowboy Carter tour after joining her in Paris last month. He also switched things up on stage, changing his “N**s in Paris” lyric from “Might let you meet Ye, Chi-Town’s hero” to “Might let you meet Bey, H-Town’s hero” – a clear nod to Beyoncé’s Houston roots.

Beyoncé looked striking in a black leather jacket covered in star-shaped studs, with long fringe along the sleeves that moved beautifully as she performed. Underneath, she wore a crystal-embellished bodysuit, paired with a studded black baseball cap, fishnet tights, tall black boots and a bold choker. Her hair, styled in long waves, flowed as she moved across the stage. Jay-Z kept things simple and sharp in a dark outfit, locs and sunglasses, giving the moment a relaxed, cool vibe.

Before taking the stage with her husband, Beyoncé thanked Atlanta for “giving me some of the best shows of my life,” calling the audience the “loudest crowd.” It was a fitting way to close her run in the city – with four back-to-back shows, a stadium full of fans singing every lyric, and a guest appearance from the man she’s been “Crazy in Love” with for over 20 years.

Catch their photos below and more of what she wore for the final Cowboy Carter show in Atlanta.

Beyoncé Served Fringe, Fur & Full-On Glam at Her Cowboy Carter Stop in D.C.

If you needed a reminder that Beyoncé knows how to set a mood before she even sings a note, her July 4th look in Washington, D.C. was more than enough.

She stepped onto the Northwest Stadium stage draped in an American flag-printed fur coat, worn over a silver-blue bodysuit dotted with stars. It was a bold visual — part Cowboy Carter, part Renaissance, and all Beyoncé

“Happy Fourth of July, everybody. Today is all about freedom,” she said to the crowd, dressed in fringe boots and a white cowboy hat, the look sealing the message before the music even started.

This was the first of two shows at the stadium for the Cowboy Carter and the Rodeo Chitlin’ Circuit Tour. The second was July 7, but the opening night already packed enough moments to linger. Fans not only showed up; they came dressed for it — including a SirDavis whiskey bottle spotted in a tiny cowboy outfit, blending into the larger spectacle.

And if Beyoncé’s coat was the headline, the rest of her looks were the footnotes you don’t skip. She’s always been intentional about what she wears and what it says, and this D.C. stop was no exception. Between the leotard and the coat, the hat and the boots, she stitched together a look book that felt timely, pointed, and rooted in the themes Cowboy Carter has carried since the album dropped.

Beyoncé’s Custom Tongoro Look Brought Dakar to the Cowboy Carter Tour

Beyoncé just pulled off something huge in Houston, and it wasn’t only about the music. On Saturday night, she kicked off her Cowboy Carter stop in her hometown with a show that had fans queuing up in cowboy boots and custom fringe fits hours before the first note.

She did what she always does—gave a full-on concert experience. But fashion-wise, there was one look that got people talking for all the right reasons. Her second outfit of the night was by Tongoro Couture, a label based in Dakar, Senegal. Beyoncé really said “African designer on a global tour” and meant it. Just a week earlier, her daughter Blue Ivy wore a Nigerian outfit by Ugo Mozie’s Eleven Sixteen brand.

The look was built around a black latex bodysuit with a fierce chest cut-out and a bold metallic cowboy chaps. Then came the cowboy chaps covered with golden cowries and crystals. According to Tongoro, that’s 444 cowries and 44 crystals, if you’re counting.

She paired it with black gloves, boots, and sunglasses. With the lights hitting just right, the whole thing felt like power made visible. And for anyone unfamiliar with Tongoro, it’s a brand founded by Sarah Diouf, and known for its bold celebration of African design and craft.

Beyoncé & Miley Cyrus Shut Down Paris in Matching Gold for ‘II Most Wanted’ Live Debut

Of all the places Beyoncé could have chosen to bring out Miley Cyrus, Paris felt especially perfect. The city has always had a flair for the unexpected, and during her first night at the Stade de France, Beyoncé gave fans a moment they’d been craving for over a year.

Midway through her Juneteenth show, she paused, smiled at the crowd, and said, “I wanted to do something special for you.” “I could not do it without this young lady’s help,” Beyoncé said as Miley ascended upon the stage. “I need y’all to scream and give it up for Ms. Miley!” Then, without much warning, the two launched into “II Most Wanted,” their Grammy-winning duet from “Cowboy Carter,” and the crowd nearly lost it.

Fans have been hoping to see this moment since the song dropped. And of course, it was worth the wait. Beyoncé called herself Miley’s biggest fan and thanked her before the two jumped into a performance that was just awesome.

They both showed up in dazzling gold looks that felt perfectly synced. Beyoncé rocked a custom Rabanne chainmail fringe gold bodysuit with metallic textures and fringe along the hem, paired with fishnet tights and cowboy boots. Miley, on the other hand, wore a Alexander McQueen gold catsuit completely covered in sequins and beadwork, with a high neckline and floor-length confidence. Beyoncé’s hair was parted down the middle in flowing waves, while Miley’s was styled with bangs. The vibe was rock-meets-country, big-stage glam.

Beyoncé & Jay-Z Set Paris Ablaze With Love, Legacy and Silver Sparkle at Cowboy Carter Finale

Not only did Beyoncé wrap up her Cowboy Carter Tour in Paris in style, she also delivered a reunion that hit every note of surprise and sentiment. At the final show in France, she invited JayZ on stage for the first time since 2018, and the crowd inside Stade de France felt the shift immediately.

Jay-Z appeared without warning, dressed in low-key black overalls and a bolo tie, with Timberlands anchoring the look. Beyoncé met that vibe head-on with futuristic glam: a silver corset top and matching high-waisted briefs, both dripping with sparkle. A metallic fringe swung from her hips like light in motion, trailing behind her like punctuation on every beat.

They launched into “Crazy in Love,” the hit that soundtracked the beginning of their public love story, and Jay-Z revised the lyrics just slightly — “Might let you meet Bey, H-Town’s hero” — trading the reference to Kanye West for one that paid homage to Beyoncé’s hometown.

Once Jay-Z left the stage, Beyoncé transitioned into a mashup of “Drunk in Love” and “Partition,” folding eras together like pages in a scrapbook. Cardi B and Kelly Rowland were spotted in the crowd, but the real focus stayed locked on the stage.

After the show, Beyoncé posted a carousel of photos to Instagram, including a shot of her and Jay-Z linking arms backstage.

Beyoncé’s Cowboy Carter Wardrobe Is a High-Fashion Rodeo Dream

The Cowboy Carter Tour is officially underway and, naturally, Beyoncé is giving fans more than just music. The fashion is already on another level.

She kicked off the tour at SoFi Stadium in LA, bringing the country-meets-glamour energy she teased with her Cowboy Carter album — which, by the way, cleaned up at the 2025 Grammys, winning Album of the Year, Best Country Album and Best Country Duo/Group Performance.

The tour will cover 32 stops across the US and Europe, but let’s talk about the real star of the show: the outfits. Beyoncé isn’t just playing with Western themes, she’s remaking them with edge and sparkle. For opening night, she stepped out in a series of custom outfits that captured the spirit of Cowboy Carter. From crystallised cowboy bodysuits to oversized rodeo jackets, her wardrobe pays homage to Americana with modern flair.

On another day, she wore a custom Loewe cowboy bodysuit, red plaid skirt, and flame boots that deserve their own spotlight. Diesel gave her a grey crystal-studded PVC coat moment, and Burberry showed up with a green Check bodysuit and matching chaps that felt like couture rodeo chic. Oh, and Blue Ivy had a matching look too. Iconic.

Designers like Mugler, Cavalli, Telfar and Tiffany & Co. are also part of her tour wardrobe, making each show a full-on fashion event.

The Cowboy Carter Tour will run through spring and summer, with stops in cities including Chicago, New Jersey, London, Paris, Houston, and Las Vegas, where it wraps up at Allegiant Stadium on July 26.

BellaNaija is keeping up with every look from the tour so far. From cowboy hats to flared trousers and all the sequins in between, we’re recapping the striking outfits from Beyoncé’s latest tour.

See all the looks so far.

Rumi Carter’s Stage Debut Might Be the Sweetest Moment of Beyoncé’s Cowboy Carter Tour Yet

Only Beyoncé could open a tour with a flying convertible, a mechanical bull, and a robot serving her whiskey.

She put on a show as big as Texas. The performance came with all the bells and whistles, literally. We’re talking flying through the air while suspended on a giant horseshoe, singing “Tyrant” on a mechanical bull, and playing at a piano that was lit on fire, all set to an arena pulsing with excitement.

But the night’s most unforgettable moment came when her seven-year-old daughter, Rumi Carter, made her stage debut. Adding an extra layer of sweetness to an already unforgettable show, Rumi joined her mother for a segment of ‘Protector,’ a track from Renaissance that also features Rumi’s vocals.

As Beyoncé sang, “I will be your protector,” Rumi grabbed her mum’s hand and waved excitedly to the audience. Just as the crowd settled, Rumi turned and hugged her mother, prompting a beautiful smile from Beyoncé as she embraced her. Behind them, Blue Ivy, ever the poised performer, stood proudly, completing a special family moment that left fans in awe.

For those who have been following Beyoncé’s career closely, this is not her first rodeo with family on stage. Her eldest daughter, Blue Ivy, has appeared alongside her before, most notably during the Renaissance world tour and NFL Christmas Gameday Super Bowl last year December.

Another highlight was Blue Ivy’s custom Eleven Sixteen leather outfit by Nigeria’s Ugo Mozie, made with hand-carved Benin bronzes and cowries. The 11-year-old took centre stage in a solo debut, nailing the moves, all while bringing Nigerian fashion flair to the rodeo atmosphere.

The Cowboy Carter Tour is just getting started, with five shows in Los Angeles before Beyoncé takes the stage in cities across North America and Europe, culminating in a final performance in Las Vegas this July. If this opening night is anything to go by, we’re in for an unforgettable ride.

Watch the joyful Rumi on stage below and get a glimpse of Blue Ivy’s stunning outfit.
