Global stars King Promise and Mr Eazi reunite on “That Way” a smooth, emotionally driven Afrofusion single that blends millennial pop nostalgia with contemporary African sound.

Produced by GuiltyBeatz and JAE5, the track serves as the second release from their joint project,”See What You’ve Done“, and highlights the effortless chemistry between two of West Africa’s most distinctive voices.

Rooted in nostalgia, “That Way” draws direct inspiration from the Backstreet Boys’ iconic hit “I Want It That Way,” reimagined through a modern African lens. The result is a record that feels instantly familiar yet refreshingly current. King Promise’s silky melodies pair seamlessly with Mr Eazi’s laid-back confidence, creating a relaxed, emotionally resonant sound where feeling leads over formula.

The official music video for “That Way” was released on the 6th of February 2026. Directed by Charlie Rees and produced by Oculens, the London-shot visual amplifies the song’s nostalgic yet modern tone, translating its warmth and intimacy into a compelling on-screen narrative that complements the record’s emotional core.

With “That Way,” King Promise and Mr Eazi continue to expand the emotional and cultural depth of “See What We’ve Done”, reinforcing the project’s themes of reflection, connection, and evolution.

“That Way” is now available on all major streaming platforms.

Lagos Rocks didn’t just kick off Detty December, it set the tone!

What began as a bold vision by Clout Africa, came to life as an electrifying cultural experience that brought together music, youth culture, celebrity energy, and the unmistakable spirit of Lagos. From the moment the doors opened, Lagos Rocks confirmed its place as the *official Detty December starter*, delivering an unforgettable night of sound, style, and celebration.

“As Nigeria’s leading creative hub for music, media, experiential events, and talent development, Clout Africa once again proved its ability to turn culture into moments that matter. Lagos Rocks was more than an event, it was a statement of intent: African creativity, done at the highest level,” said Joseph Adamu, COO Clout Africa.

A Night Powered by Music and Pure Energy

The stage came alive with thrilling performances from some of the most exciting names shaping the sound of now and next. Zinoleesky as the Show’s headliner, delivered a standout performance that sent the crowd into a frenzy, reminding everyone why he remains one of the most influential voices of his generation.

The energy level was high, due to preceding performances from Ashidapo, Oberz, Lovn, Noon Dave, Cupid SZN, Little Zino and a wave of rising artists who brought raw talent, passion, and originality to the Lagos Rocks stage. Each act added its own flavor, creating a seamless blend of established stars and emerging voices, a core part of Clout Africa’s mission to spotlight African talent.

DJs, Vibes, and Non-Stop Movement

Sound curation was nothing short of elite. With a powerhouse DJ lineup including DJ Salt, DJ 808, DJ Rosco, DJ Keywe, DJ KO, DJ Tim Westwood, the atmosphere never dipped. From Afrobeats to global club anthems, every set kept the crowd moving and the energy sky-high from start to finish.

Culture, Community, and Star Power

Beyond the music, Lagos Rocks embraced the full spectrum of entertainment culture. The event saw special appearances from Big Brother Naija reality stars Rooboy and Doris, adding celebrity excitement and fan engagement to the night.

The presence of Clout Band, alongside a vibrant mix of creators, tastemakers, and up-and-coming artists, reinforced what Lagos Rocks truly represents – a *community-driven movement* where creativity, collaboration, and culture intersect.

In partnership with Action Bitters, Lagos Rocks officially ushered in the season’s “Oblee” energy, giving Lagos its first real taste of Detty December magic. It was a night where people connected, celebrated, and experienced Lagos in its purest form – bold, loud, creative, and unstoppable.

From the music to the crowd, from the performances to the atmosphere, Lagos Rocks captured the essence of what Detty December is meant to be.

This wasn’t just an event.

It was a moment.

A movement.

A reminder that Clout Africa sets the pace.

“Can’t wait to share this, it was amazing to work on Pon Time Again with these icons, bringing different cultures together. Let’s get it” – Yung Alpha

Orange Hill, the UK-based electronic dance music and DJ outfit led by renowned DJ and producer Ras Kwame, make their long-awaited return with the Afrobeats and dancehall-infused single ‘Pon Time Again’ featuring Vybz Kartel, Idris Elba and Yung Alpha out 3rd September, 2025, via Platoon. HERE

Formed in 2011, Orange Hill burst onto the scene with the fiery debut ‘Wine De Best’ featuring UK rap icon Kano, Jamaica’s dancehall stalwart Busy Signal, and the late US club legend Fatman Scoop, a release that stormed into the UK Official Singles Breakers Chart Top 20.

Originally a duo with production partner Jnr Tubby, Tubby left the group in 2013. Ras has since collaborated with global producers KickRaux and Yung Alpha, creating a catalogue of standout tracks with Mr Vegas, Stylo G, Mr Eazi, RDX, Sneakbo, Anthony B, Ishawna, Camidoh, and Lisa Mercedez. Following a hiatus after 2018’s ‘The Carnival EP’, Ras Kwame now reignites Orange Hill with ‘Pon Time Again’, a feel-good anthem uniting global superstar and dancehall’s finest Vybz Kartel, actor/DJ/producer Idris Elba, and rising Nigerian Afrobeats star Yung Alpha (Sober ft. Davido, Olumbah & Hmmm… for Chris Brown & Davido), who also co-produces the track.

Mr Eazi Releases New Single and Video “Casanova”

22 août 2025 à 10:06

Grammy-winning afropop star Mr Eazi returns today with “Casanova,” the new single from his forthcoming Maison Rouge EP, set for release this September via emPawa Africa.

“Casanova,” which was produced by Ghana’s TMXO and Nigerian super producer Kel-P, is a playful yet emotionally revealing track about love, temptation, and self-awareness. Inspired by real conversations and moments of vulnerability, the song explores the tension between loyalty and attraction, honesty and misunderstanding. It’s a confession, both cheeky and sincere, about being drawn to women but wanting to hold onto the one he truly loves.“Casanova is me being honest in the most unfiltered way,” Mr Eazi says.

I’m saying, ‘Yes, I love women, but my heart is with you.’ It’s about the reality of relationships and how we navigate our flaws, temptations, and the little things that can make or break love.

The track is supported by an artful music video shot in Spain by director Ademola Falomo (Tems, Davido, Joeboy). Packing a movie’s worth of plot and intrigue into its 2 1⁄2 minute run time, the “Casanova” visual follows the travails of a cab driver who finds himself in the crosshairs of a jealous wife after she catches him with another woman without knowing the full details behind their rendezvous. Blending humor, flirtation, and a hint of suspense with colorful urban backdrops, intimate close-ups, and a lighthearted storyline, the visuals bring the song’s cheeky and romantic spirit to life.“‘Casanova is a playful record but it’s also about that moment when someone catches you off guard” says Mr Eazi, who previously tapped Falomo to direct his “Patek” (2022) and “E Be Mad” (2021) videos. “I wanted the video to feel like a little movie with twists, laughs, and energy. Barcelona gave us the perfect mix of romance and chaos, and Demola captured that perfectly.”

“Casanova,” along with the rest of Eazi’s forthcoming Maison Rouge EP, was recorded in Cotonou, Benin, at the titular Hotel Maison Rouge, which became a creative oasis for Mr Eazi while working on his 2023 album slash art project, The Evil Genius.“Casanova” follows the July release of “Corny,” a mellow, emotionally honest love song which showcases Eazi’s signature blend of vulnerability and melody, and “Attention,” Eazi’s contribution to this summer’s blockbuster F1 movie soundtrack.

“Casanova” is OUT NOW on all DSPs and the vieo will be released today by 1 pm WAT on the below channel.

New Music Alert! Priscilla Nwachi Drops Powerful New Video for “You Are God.” A Song 15 Years in the Making

16 août 2025 à 17:50

Prophetic psalmist and worshipper Priscilla Nwachi has released her latest single, “You Are God”—an inspirational, spirit-breathed worship anthem written over 15 years ago and now released as the first single from her upcoming debut EP.

“You Are God” marks a significant shift in Priscilla’s journey as a worshipper and minister rooted in healing, surrender, and prophetic worship.

The inspiration for the song came to Priscilla in an ordinary moment while she was taking a shower. She recalls hearing the words clearly:

You are the Lord God Jehovah. You died on the cross for my sins. You have forgiven my iniquities. You are God.

I knew this song was from heaven, says Priscilla. I didn’t release it back then, but God kept it in my spirit. Now, after a deep personal transformation, I’ve added to the song with new lyrics, worship elements, and even Igbo honoring my heritage and the depth of worship I now carry.

“You Are God” is part of Priscilla’s debut EP, a collection of four songs, two written many years ago, and two composed in recent seasons of consecration. Together, they represent her true calling and sound as a prophetic psalmist.

As a worshipper, I don’t perform, I minister, Priscilla shares. My mission is to speak and sing about life, truth, and healing. This song is a declaration of who God is and a reminder that He is faithful through every season.

Juno Award-winning Afro-Soul artist Osé will release her latest single, “24 Hours”, on Friday, Aug. 8. Known for her emotionally resonant songwriting and genre-blending sound, Osé continues to build momentum with this highly anticipated release.

Born in Nigeria and raised in Toronto, Osé brings a global sensibility to her music, blending Afrobeat rhythms with soulful melodies. Her previous singles, including “Makaveli” and “JJC”, have earned millions of streams and positioned her as one of the most exciting emerging voices in the genre. With co-signs from H.E.R., SZA and Timbaland, and standout performances at AfroPunk Fest and Sony Hall in New York, Osé has established herself as a rising international artist. Her work has been spotlighted across digital platforms and continues to resonate with audiences around the world.

Osé has steadily gained a following in key markets such as London, Lagos, Accra, and several cities across Asia. Her blend of African roots and contemporary soul has connected with audiences well beyond North America.“24 Hours”, she says, was written during a time of personal reflection and inner shift.

I wrote this song about three years ago when I was in this headspace of trying to appreciate life more and just slow down, Osé said. A lot of uncertainty had presented itself at the time. I always felt like I was behind, or like I had to rush myself to reach my full potential before it was ‘too late’.

Creating this song became my gentle reminder that you can’t rush life, greatness or feelings. Everything happens in God’s timing. Slowing down makes you more intentional, and that is exactly what ‘24 Hours’ is about.

emPawa Africa proudly announces its latest signee, Dumochiii (real name: Olufowora Michael Seun), a singer and songwriter hailing from Surulere, Lagos, as he makes his official debut with the heartfelt single, “Jasi.”

A fresh voice in Afropop and Afrobeats, Dumochiii brings a unique flair to the genre by fusing emotional honesty with rhythm-driven, street-rooted storytelling. His sound, often described as Afroadura, is deeply influenced by spiritual resilience and the lived realities of growing up in Lagos.

After two years of artist development under emPawa Africa, Dumochiii steps into the spotlight with “Jasi”, an anthem of resilience and quiet strength. The track serves as both a personal outcry and a universal message of hope. With melodic confidence and emotional vulnerability, Dumochiii reflects on his struggles and leans into divine strength, drawing inspiration from Psalm 121: “I lift up my eyes to the hills, where does my help come from? My help comes from the Lord.”

‘Jasi’ is me talking to God, asking for help when it feels like no one else gets what I’m going through,” says Dumochiii. “It’s believing that my time will come, even when it’s hard, and just staying thankful always.”

The debut single is accompanied by a striking visualizer shot in Tarkwa Bay, capturing the essence of a weekend escape in Lagos, a moment to unwind, reflect, and recharge for what lies ahead.

With roots in freestyle cyphers and music camps, Dumochiii steps forward ready to connect with Gen Z and new-wave Afrobeats audiences across Lagos, Africa, and beyond.

“Jasi” is now available on all major streaming platforms.

Martell renews Partnership with Davido for a 3rd term, Unveiling Afrobeats Live in Paris

27 juin 2025 à 14:13

Martell, one of the oldest great cognac houses, has renewed its partnership with global Afrobeats star Davido for a third term, first signed in 2021. Now in its fifth year, the partnership goes far beyond a traditional brand ambassadorship to a business partnership.

The renewed partnership was spotlighted on 25th June during the inaugural Afrobeats Live event in Paris, signalling the next phase of Martell’s evolving cultural strategy – backing the platforms, people, and conversations shaping the future of Afrobeats. Davido’s continued role reflects the brand’s long-term commitment to cultural partnership rooted in creative collaboration, infrastructure, and purpose.

Afrobeats is shaping how a generation sees itself: bold, creative, and full of intent. At the heart of this alignment lies a shared set of values: the optimism and joy that define Afrobeats’ energy; a commitment to challenging the status quo that has shaped both Martell’s and Afrobeats’ cultural legacies; and a collective mindset grounded in pride, collaboration, and community. These parallels underpin Martell’s commitment to the Afrobeats movement, a partnership built on shared purpose and cultural intent.

We see Afrobeats as a powerful force for cultural progress, built by artists and communities who are creating their future with clarity and purpose, and our commitment is grounded in respect and belief.

We’re here to walk alongside the movement, support its growth and contribute meaningfully to where it’s going next, said Lanre Odutola, Cultural Partnerships & Influence Marketing Manager, Martell

Martell also unveiled its newly appointed Cultural Ambassadors, three respected figures in music, media, and culture:
Adesope Olajide (Shopsydoo) – UK-based cultural commentator & host of The Afrobeats Podcast
Sheniece Charway – Music executive & podcast host
Abdul Abdullah – Founder of AfroFuture Festival & Culture Management Group

Each will play an active role in collaborating with Martell to co-create programming and shape storytelling, building on the brand’s existing commitment to engaging with Afrobeats in a way that is meaningful, respectful, and rooted in cultural authenticity.

A key moment of the night was a live panel moderated by Adesope Olajide, exploring Afrobeats’ global momentum and what lies ahead. The discussion covered infrastructure, talent development, storytelling, and the evolving expectations placed on the genre as it continues its global rise.

At Martell we believe legacy is shaped by those with the audacity to redefine convention. This first Afrobeats Live event reflects that belief – a commitment to supporting cultural movements that are driven by purpose, authenticity and progress, said Sébastien Borda, Global Marketing Director, Martell

The evening brought together a cross-section of respected voices from across the Afrobeats diaspora: artists, media, creatives, and industry leaders who have helped shape the culture from the ground up. It also marked the start of a sustained series of cultural experiences Martell will deliver across key regions, including Africa, the US, and global diaspora markets.

Emerging Nigerian music artist Big Banju steps boldly into the spotlight with his debut single, “Ada.” A captivating fusion of Afrobeats and Afropop, which showcases his soulful voice and authentic storytelling.

Hailing from Akwa Ibom State, Big Banju offers a fresh yet grounded perspective on Nigeria’s vibrant music scene. Known for his introspective lyrics, emotionally rich vocals, and street-inspired sound, Banju channels his real-life experiences into every line. The track “Ada” pulses with heartfelt emotion, smooth rhythms, and a hook that lingers long after the song ends.

Big Banju says;

With “Ada”, I am not just releasing music — I am launching a movement. The song is a celebration of love, resilience, and identity, produced with lush instrumentals that blend traditional Afrobeats elements with modern Afropop energy.

Big Banju discovered music early in life, using it as an escape and a form of meditation during his school days.
