The Nike Waffle Racer SE Updates a 1977 Classic in” Black/Filbert”

Name: Nike Waffle Racer “Black/Filbert”
Colorway: Black/Filbert-Sail
SKU: IM8673-002
MSRP: ¥13,860 JPY (approx. $90 USD)
Release Date: Available now (Japan), TBC (Global)
Where to Buy: BILLY’S ENT (Japan), TBC (Global)

The Nike Waffle Racer SE is officially out in a Black/Filbert-Sail colorway. The silhouette brings the original 1977 Waffle Racer into a contemporary context through a leather and dimensional mesh upper, an exposed foam tongue, and a thin sole that preserves the low-profile character of the original while introducing a material range the 1977 version never had.

The construction decisions across the SE reflect a deliberate balance between heritage reference and material update. The leather component grounds the upper in the kind of durable, structured base that the Waffle Racer's running heritage called for, while the dimensional mesh introduces texture and breathability that a full leather upper would not achieve. The combination gives the Black/Filbert/Sail colorway a layered surface quality — the leather panels sitting against the mesh's dimensional grain — that rewards close inspection without making a statement from a distance. The exposed foam tongue is the most visually distinctive departure from the original's construction, framing the lacing zone in a way that signals the SE's modern update without abandoning the classic Nike logo that anchors the overall silhouette.

The thin sole is the detail that ties the SE most directly to the Waffle Racer's 1977 identity. The original silhouette was built around a waffle outsole invented from a waffle maker, a piece of Nike origin mythology that positioned the brand as genuinely experimental in its earliest years. The SE's thin sole preserves the low, close-to-the-ground feel that defined the original's ride, giving the modernized upper a foundation that connects the two eras of the design rather than letting the material updates float free of their source. The Black/Filbert/Sail colorway works within that restraint: the Black base keeps the silhouette contained, the Filbert introduces warmth without brightness, and the Sail provides a clean contrast that keeps the palette from reading as too dark.

  • C2H4® has launched its singular 2026 collection, focusing on natural states of wear
  • Apparel silhouettes highlight intentionally unpressed surfaces, relaxed hems and layered waistbands.
  • The drop also features a collaborative Architect Commuter Bicycle with Kolor Bicycle

Los Angeles-born label C2H4® has officially unveiled its new collection for the year, continuing the brand's progressive shift away from the traditional seasonal drops. Serving as the first chapter of this year-long rollout, the newly debuted lookbook introduces the label's updated ethos: "Motion, Stillness and Everything in Between". Founded by designer Yixi Chen, the label infuses this lineup with mid-20th-century sensibilities drawn from 1950s and 1960s architecture and furniture design. The collection's atmospheric mood acts as a continuous dialogue between clothing and time, leaning into a quiet, orderly discipline that celebrates the natural, unscripted nuances of everyday life.

The technical product range expands across unisex garments and an evolved women's line. Key styles utilize specially engineered fabrics designed to develop natural pilling over time, alongside relaxed hems, rolled sleeves, layered waistbands, slightly turned plackets and post-wash surfaces left intentionally unpressed. The style leans into everyday elegance with retro-skewed pairings such as knit polo shirts styled with pleated trousers, lightweight long-sleeve tops with long skirts, and casual button-ups coordinated with relaxed shorts.

Extending beyond apparel, C2H4® has also collaborated with Kolor Bicycle to introduce the Architect Commuter Bicycle. Gregory Crewdson Explores the Dark Side of Suburbia in New ‘Dream House’ Prints

Summary

  • Gregory Crewdson is releasing six prints from his Dream House series with Avant Arte
  • The photographs feature a star-studded cast and explore themes like isolation and suburban unease
  • The archival pigment prints will be available as a time-limited edition starting June 30 for 48 hours

American photographer Gregory Crewdson is teaming up with London-based Avant Arte to release six limited-edition prints, revisiting Dream House, one of his most cinematic and unsettling bodies of work.

The series, originally commissioned by The New York Times in 2002, exemplifies some of Crewdson’s most defining artistic traits: his meticulous eye, fascination with suburban mediocrity, and ability to pinpoint darker, melancholic tensions bubbling beneath its surface.

Shot in an abandoned Vermont home, the photographs are chilling. They propose a nightmarish, distinctly American kind of reverie. Created with the scale, detail, and ensemble of a Hollywood film, the series sees the likes of Philip Seymour Hoffman, Tilda Swinton, Gwyneth Paltrow, William H. Macy, and Julianne Moore cast as a lonesome, fearful bunch, each playing second to the setting as its main character.

Captured at odd hours of the day, enhanced with artificial lighting, color treatment, and special effects, his landscapes are of our world, but not quite, creating another suspended somewhere between dream and reality. “My pictures must first be beautiful, but that beauty is not enough,” the artist once said. “I strive to convey an underlying edge of anxiety, of isolation, of fear.”

For the collectors looking to cop a piece of Dream House, each unframed archival pigment print measures 35 x 50 cm and is printed on Hahnemühle Photo Rag Bright White 310gsm paper. The time-limited edition will launch on June 30 at 12 PM EDT for 48 hours only and arrives signed and numbered by the artist. Head to Avant Arte's website to learn more.

Chrome Hearts v. Nordstrom Unfolds & Prada Debuts Lunar Mission Suit in This Week's Top Fashion News

Summary

  • The industry mourned menswear legend Nigel Cabourn’s passing

  •  Prada designed lunar spacesuits for NASA, Coach and Brain Dead debuted theme park-inspired gear, and ESSX opened a Hamptons pop-up.

  •  Chrome Hearts sued Nordstrom over trademarked cross motifs, while Tremaine Emory launched Denim Tears' first bag collection.

Chrome Hearts Sues Nordstrom Over Trademark Infringement of Iconic Cross Motifs

On June 4, Los Angeles-based luxury titan Chrome Hearts filed a lawsuit against retail giant Nordstrom in California, alleging trademark infringement and counterfeiting. The legal battle centered around Nordstrom’s sale of jewelry and belts that allegedly replicated Chrome Hearts' signature CH Cross and CH Plus design motifs. The luxury label asserted that decades of consistent branding, celebrity co-signs, and heavy advertising cemented these heavy-metal crosses as recognizable indicators of their brand. The lawsuit struck at the complex layers of IP involving pre-existing symbols like crosses, questioning where the legal line was drawn between generic ornamental decoration and a protectable trademark.

NASA's Artemis IV Astronauts Are Wearing Prada and Axiom Space to the Moon

Prada and Axiom Space officially debuted the Liquid Cooling and Ventilation Garment (LCVG) for the upcoming NASA Artemis IV lunar mission. Acting as the inner layer of the Axiom Extravehicular Mobility Unit spacesuit, the innovative suit is able to withstand extreme metabolic heat during spacewalks for up to eight hours. Using engineered knitting techniques and resilient, specialized fibers, Prada’s material science expertise is designed for repeated wear in deep space. The core technology involves sophisticated cooling loops that continuously pump water across the core muscle groups and route fresh oxygen to the wearer. The unconventional cross-industry partnership demonstrated how luxury fashion's 3D modeling and high-performance textile innovations can also play an integral role in aerospace engineering.

Legendary Menswear Designer Nigel Cabourn Dies at 77

On June 11, the fashion world mourned the loss of esteemed British designer Nigel Cabourn, who passed away at the age of 77. Well known for his strong dedication to heritage craftsmanship, military garments, and functional workwear, Cabourn built a meaningful legacy of style, deeper than ephemeral trend cycles. His unparalleled personal archive of over 4,000 vintage pieces informed his celebrated Authentic line, Main Line, and Lybro collections. Instead of climbing the luxury rungs, the designer cultivated a passionate global cult following, collaborating with titans like Converse and Red Wing. With his signature dungarees and joyful energy, Cabourn fundamentally shaped the modern utility aesthetic.

Denim Tears' Handbags Were Always in Tremaine Emory's Blueprint

Tremaine Emory expanded the Denim Tears universe with the brand’s first-ever in-line bag collection for SS26. Translating the label's signature Cotton Wreath motif into the realm of luxury accessories, the launch dropped on June 12, offering a highly adaptable silhouette in both heavy-duty cotton canvas and soft grain leather. Priced between $390 and $590 USD, the leather variant of the bags features clever side buttons that allow them to transition seamlessly from a structured form into a spacious tote. Emory likened the collection to furnishing a house, noting that leather goods were always part of his long-term vision.

ESSX Brings Downtown NYC Energy to East Hampton for the Summer Months

Lower East Side concept store ESSX took its downtown sensibility to the beach, launching a massive seasonal pop-up at 53 The Circle in East Hampton. Running through October 2026, the temporary retail space successfully transported the community-driven energy of its Manhattan flagship straight to Long Island. Shoppers enjoyed a meticulously curated roster of brands, including heavy hitters like Maison Margiela, Acne Studios, Our Legacy, and Willy Chavarria. Beyond simply selling exclusive luxury apparel, ESSX maintained its cultural edge by hosting rotating activations and creative programming. By testing its avant-garde formula against the affluent, slower-paced Hamptons crowd, ESSX provided a cutting-edge alternative to traditional coastal retail.

Stuart Vevers on Crafting a World of Curiosity, Nostalgia and Play With Kyle Ng

The unlikely pairing Coach x Brain Dead released a collaborative collection, channeling the vibrant character of late-90s Harajuku street style. Coach Creative Director Stuart Vevers partnered with Brain Dead’s Kyle Ng to create highly customizable bags covered in nostalgic charms, pins, and patches. Drawing inspiration from Tokyo’s legendary FRUiTS magazine, the duo designed merchandise for a completely fictional amusement park. They brought this dreamscape to life in New York with an immersive, carnival-like presentation that culminated in a sudden flashmob runway show. Vevers emphasized that the collection thrived on emotional connection and subcultural grit, encouraging wearers to add their own personal stories and visible scratches to the pieces.

From Newcomer to NBA Finals: Skechers’ Rapid Rise in the Sporting World

OG Anunoby capped off the biggest comeback in NBA Finals history, with a game-winning shot, soaring over Spurs’ defenders, in his new pair of Skechers.

Not long ago, that sentence would have sounded almost absurd. Now Skechers is part of one of basketball's most iconic moments.

When Skechers officially entered performance basketball in 2023, the move was met with equal parts curiosity and skepticism. The sport has long been dominated by a handful of powerhouse brands that have spent decades, and billions of dollars, cementing their place in the sport. Breaking into basketball’s inner circle wasn't supposed to happen overnight.

For Skechers, the journey from outsider to Finals spotlight hasn't been fueled by hype. It's been built through athlete trust and a willingness to challenge long-standing assumptions about who belongs on the game's biggest stage. Skechers might be new to spotlight, but they’ve been quietly building their performance footwear for years. Every day. With athletes training in their sneakers, providing input, and crafting sneakers that have always been ready.

Now, when the lights shine brightest, fans are starting to notice stars like OG Anunoby representing one of basketball footwear's most unexpected challengers. Skechers has quietly assembled a roster that includes Anunoby, Joel Embiid, Julius Randle, Norman Powell, and Isaiah Hartenstein, alongside WNBA champion Jackie Young. These athletes have trusted Skechers to perform off the court, in moments away from the fans, and now the world is seeing them deliver in the highest-pressure moments of their careers.

For Anunoby, that confidence comes down to what happens between the lines. “Skechers has helped me continue to play basketball at an elite level and I love these shoes,” he said. “I play quick and low to the court. I jump and move a lot. Skechers has the shoe to keep me comfortable, keep me protected and keep me playing my best every day.”

Anunoby’s comments speak to a broader evolution for Skechers happening across professional sports. Athletes are increasingly choosing comfort and performance. The same company making noise in the NBA now finds itself represented on some of the world's biggest stages.

One of the biggest soccer stars in the world and contender for the Ballon d'Or, Harry Kane, is preparing to captain England at the World Cup in Skechers. This comes fresh of record 58-goal season at Bayern Munich and leading Bayern Munich to the Bundesliga title, while wearing his new boots.

Jackie Young won a WNBA championship this year wearing Skechers. Matt Fitzpatrick has collected multiple PGA Tour victories in Skechers. Across sports, the pattern is becoming difficult to ignore.

Skecher’s willingness to challenge convention is a big reason why players like Randle were drawn to the brand in the first place. “We have the opportunity to do exciting things outside the box in a positive and impactful way,” he said. “We’re trailblazing together with these amazing shoes. I love that.”

Championships create heroes. They also create symbols. Anunoby's game-winning shot offered a different narrative. One where an emerging challenger earned a seat at the table, and arrived in the middle of basketball history.

The NBA Finals will crown a champion. But for Skechers, it’s clear they’ve already won.

Head to the official Skechers website to shop the latest athletic styles.

British Artist David Hockney Dies at 88

David Hockney, the British painter known for his vibrant portraits and sunny compositions of everyday life, has passed away at 88 in his home on June 11, just one month before his 89th birthday.

Hockney was regarded as one of the most beloved artists of the modern pop-art era, with a legacy defined by constant experimentation. He believed that art could change the world, a way to realize all that’s beautiful, thrilling, and mysterious, even in darkness.

Born in Bradford, UK in 1937, Hockney trained at the Bradford School of Art, and later the Royal College of Art in London. Early on, he established himself at the vanguard of Britain’s new artistic generation through his singular style, moving from abstract expressionism to figurative, linear mark-making.

In the 60s, he moved to Los Angeles and, inspired by the West Coast charm, produced some of his most iconic works during this period, such as “A Bigger Splash” and “Portrait of an Artist (Pool with Two Figures).”

Beyond his pool paintings, Hockney had a way of freezing a moment and bringing attention to the small wonders of the everyday. He came out as gay in his early 20s, when homosexuality was still illegal in England, and used his art as a way to explore queerness and sexuality through mundane snapshots of domestic life.

While celebrated for his traditional portraits and landscapes, his oeuvre spanned photography, printmaking, set design, collage, and even into his 80s carried his pioneering spirit into digital art in his series of iPad drawings created through the end of his life.

News about the artist’s passing broke via his longtime publicist, Erica Bolton, who wrote: “David Hockney’s enduring legacy reflects his underlying enthusiasm for life, his outstanding sense of humor, his immense generosity, and his investigative curiosity encapsulated by his signature phrase, ‘Love Life.’”

Colorway: White
SKU: VN000E9TCJ7
MSRP: £85 GBP (approx. $114 USD)
Release Date: June 18
Where to Buy: Vans, Journeys

Southern California heritage and authentic punk rock energy collide once again as Vans introduces its second collaborative capsule with legendary musician and Blink-182 drummer, Travis Barker.

The collection embraces a raw, DIY spirit heavily inspired by zine-like punk graphics and a shared non-conformist mindset. Similar to their first collaboration, the Vans x Travis Barker Old Skool comes as the center of this release. Dressed in a crisp white colorway, the silhouette features a traditional canvas upper with classic cotton laces. This pristine, understated canvas foundation is sharply contrasted by edgy, personalized design details that reflect Barker's signature aesthetic and personal mantras. Most notable is a black, stylized script "Dues Paid" emblem split across the vamps, spelling out "Dues" on the left shoe and "Paid" on the right.

Adding a layer of continuous graphic contrast, a black barbed wire illustration wraps cleanly around the white vulcanized foxing tape of the sole unit. The custom lifestyle design is completed with a specialized Travis Barker logo detailing embedded directly onto the heel and the tongue, seamlessly uniting Vans' "Off The Wall" heritage with decades of personal musical history.

seconde/seconde/ and Christopher Ward’s C60 Pool Dive Is the Perfect Out-Of-Office Watch for Summer

Summary

  • seconde/seconde/ reconnected with Christopher Ward to release the playful C60 Pool Diver watch
  • It features a tongue-in-cheek and color-coded dial that playfully tracks poolside activities and cocktails
  • Available to order until June 24, 2026, with a range of bracelet and rubber strap options

Christopher Ward has teamed up with Romaric André, the creative mind behind seconde/seconde/, for their fourth collaboration: the C60 Pool Diver. Designed as a playful sequel to the brand's popular C65 Desk Diver, this new release trades office irony for the ultimate summer holiday.

Billed as a "decompression diver," the watch takes the highly capable architecture of the C60 Trident Reef and injects it with a tongue-in-cheek guide to vacationing. Instead of serious deep-sea timing, the C60 Pool Diver is built for the executive looking to chill with purpose, offering a humorous take on how watch enthusiasts actually spend their time off.

Beneath its 41mm stainless steel case and ceramic bezel, the watch replaces traditional diving metrics with a witty, self-improvement-focused dial. The matte white, sandblasted face is divided into five color-coded zones corresponding to poolside activities: reading, sunbathing, relaxing, taking selfies to "flex," and finally, contemplating life choices. The humor extends to the details, with the standard date window swapped out for a martini glass indicating "maximum units" and the functional helium escape valve bearing a laser-etched tropical island motif.

Flipping the watch over reveals a familiar caseback illustration — this time featuring a diver equipped with flip-flops, sunscreen and a mocktail. Despite the novelty, the watch remains a highly capable tool, boasting 200 meters of water resistance and a reliable Sellita SW200-1 automatic movement with a 38-hour power reserve.

The C60 Pool Diver is offered exclusively through a limited-time ordering window, available via Christopher Ward until June 24, 2026, with deliveries scheduled to begin in mid-July. The watch is available on vibrant blue, white or orange Aquaflex rubber straps for $1,250 USD, offering the perfect beach-ready aesthetic. For those preferring a more traditional look, a version of the three-link stainless steel Bader bracelet is priced at $1,475 USD.

URWERK Bids Farewell to the UR-120 With the "Blue Planet" Edition

Summary

  • URWERK unveils the UR‑120 Blue Planet, the final edition of its UR‑120 series
  • It boasts a deep blue sandblasted steel case, Vulcan salute satellite complication and gold‑finished components
  • Limited to 20 pieces, priced at around $128,000 USD

Independent Swiss watchmaker URWERK has unveiled the UR-120 Blue Planet, the third and final iteration of its UR-120 model.
The watch features a striking two-part, interlocking sandblasted steel case - a signature design element of URWERK’s artistic director Martin Frei - rendered in a deep, cosmic blue tone. Measuring 47mm wide, 44mm long and 15.8mm thick, the smooth, screwless upper shell extends into articulated lugs, with a spring concealed in the 6 o'clock lug ensuring a perfect fit on the wearer's wrist.

At the heart of the UR-120 Blue Planet beats the self-winding Calibre UR-20.01, a highly complex movement designed to not just indicate time, but playfully stage it. The watch utilizes a 4 Hz movement to drive a central carousel carrying three hour satellites that orbit alongside an analog minute track. As each satellite reaches the left-hand side of the case, a spectacular mechanical sequence occurs: the satellite splits apart to form a "V" shape, executing a genuine horological complication affectionately dubbed the "Vulcan salute". This intricate choreography is controlled by a lyre-shaped spring and precise Maltese crosses, managing energy through 175 components within the carousel alone.

Adding an extra dimension to its deep blue architecture, URWERK has highlighted the lyre springs and Maltese crosses with a 24K yellow-gold PVD coating. According to master watchmaker Felix Baumgartner, this gold is not merely ornamental; it draws the eye to the active components where energy is stored, released, and transformed into motion. The movement, visible beneath a domed, anti-reflective sapphire crystal, boasts a 48-hour power reserve and is adorned with high-end finishes, including circular graining, sandblasting, and Côtes de Genève motifs.

Priced at 115,000 CHF (approx. $128,000 USD), this limited edition is available for inquiry through URWERK.

WNBA Superstar Kelsey Plum Officially Signs With Adidas Basketball

Summary

  • WNBA champion and Olympic gold medalist Kelsey Plum has officially signed an endorsement partnership with adidas Basketball
  • The high-profile signing follows Plum's recent corporate departure from her previous sponsor, Under Armour
  • While dedicated product plans remain unannounced, Plum recently starred alongside Anthony Edwards in a new brand campaign

adidas Basketball has officially expanded its elite women's roster by welcoming WNBA superstar Kelsey Plum to the Three Stripes family. Following months of industry speculation and an unannounced transition period, the brand confirmed the major signing on June 11, 2026. The partnership marks a significant cultural and athletic milestone for the Los Angeles Sparks guard, who joins a rapidly growing lineup of top-tier basketball talent under the German sportswear company's umbrella.

Plum's transition to the Three Stripes follows her high-profile departure from her previous sponsor, Under Armour, where she spent years serving as a primary face of its women's basketball category. Speculation regarding a brand switch began intensifying earlier this year when hoop fans noticed the multi-time WNBA All-Star wearing adidas footwear on the hardwood during her Unrivaled league appearances and Team USA training camps. The corporate split was finalized shortly thereafter, setting the stage for her immediate integration into the adidas ecosystem.

To solidify her arrival, the champion guard recently made a standout appearance in the brand's highly publicized "Believe That" campaign, appearing alongside fellow signature athlete Anthony Edwards to promote his latest footwear rollouts. By blending performance basketball heritage with modern street-level style, adidas is positioning Plum at the forefront of its commercial and cultural narrative. Specific details regarding dedicated apparel collections or player-exclusive signature sneakers tied to Plum have not yet been announced, leaving future product plans listed as TBA. However, her immense scoring ability, championship pedigree, and off-court visibility ensure she will act as a pivotal driver for the next phase of the brand's women's hoops initiatives.

Executive produced in partnership with Barack and Michelle Obama’s Higher Ground Productions, the seven-episode limited series delivers an idiosyncratic retelling of 250 years of American history filtered through David's signature skeptical and observational comedic lens.

Directed entirely by longtime collaborator Jeff Schaffer, the project consists of seven episodes featuring roughly four distinct comedy sketches per episode. Described by its creators as "Curb in costume," the series relies on structural plot outlines while leaving the vast majority of the dialogue completely improvised by its ensemble cast. The narrative format seamlessly blends major historical milestones with the same petty social arguments and awkward energy that defined Curb Your Enthusiasm.

The newly debuted trailer provides a comprehensive look at the show's premium lineup of comedy veterans and prominent guest stars portraying iconic historical figures. Notable clips showcase Jon Hamm and Sean Hayes starring as the Wright brothers, alongside guest appearances from Bill Hader and Kathryn Hahn as Abraham and Mary Todd Lincoln. The series features a rotating cast including Jerry Seinfeld, Susie Essman, Vince Vaughn, J.B. Smoove, Jeff Garlin, Jane Krakowski, and Isla Fisher. Former President Barack Obama is also confirmed to make an on-screen appearance opposite David within the sketches.

Life, Larry and the Pursuit of Unhappiness officially premieres June 26, 2026, on HBO and HBO Max, with new episodes airing weekly through August 7, 2026.

  • The Seattle Seahawks celebrated their Super Bowl LX victory with a custom championship ring designed by Jason of Beverly Hills

  • The jewelry piece features white diamonds, blue sapphires, a removable top that converts into a pendant, and a mechanical pop-out button

  • A fan retail collection featuring a limited-edition replica ring priced at $15,995 USD has launched encounters online

The Seattle Seahawks and luxury jeweler Jason of Beverly Hills have officially unveiled the franchise's Super Bowl LX championship ring. Crafted entirely in the United States, the dazzling jewelry piece commemorates the team's historic 50th season with a complex design featuring premium white diamonds and vibrant blue sapphires.

The top of the ring draws architectural inspiration from Lumen Field's famous arches, adorned entirely in diamonds, surrounding a center hawk head logo, blue sapphires, and two Lombardi Trophies. Honoring the 50th season, 50 brilliant round white diamonds frame the center logo, while the bottom of the band features 12 feathers paying homage to the team's fanbase. Personalized elements include the player's last name, jersey number, and the team's "M.O.B." mantra on one side, with the "12 AS ONE" vision, Seattle skyline, year, and Super Bowl LX logo on the opposite side.

The engineering showcases unprecedented technical features, including a removable top that allows the piece to convert into a wearable pendant on a chain. Additionally, a specialized "12 Flag" button on the side utilizes a complex internal lever and spring system; when pressed, the stadium arches mechanically pop outward to reveal the words "WORLD CHAMPIONS." Inside, the ring houses an authentic piece of a game-used football marked with the number 50 alongside an inscription reading "17 WINS."

estudio kmmk’s Winkelhaus Forms a Dialogue With Its Surrounding Landscape

Summary

  • Winkelhaus, designed by estudio kmmk in Winkel, Switzerland, is a 643 square meter single‑family residence completed in 2026
  • The house integrates concrete and expansive glazing, maximizing natural light and connecting interior spaces with the surrounding forest and valley

Winkelhaus, designed by estudio kmmk, is a single‑family residence that embodies the studio’s ethos of architecture shaped by nature. Located in Winkel, Switzerland, the project spans 643 square meters and marks the studio's inaugural work in the country.

Conceived to harmonize with its forested surroundings and expansive valley, the home is defined by a gentle arc that aligns every primary living space toward the valley views while shielding the interior from the street. This structural gesture allows the building to act as a radial sequence of rooms that anchor the house to the hillside, ensuring that the daily routines of its inhabitants are constantly connected to the shifting seasons and local landscape.

Concrete surfaces and expansive glazing frame views outward, while the orientation of the structure maximizes natural light and creates fluid transitions between interior and exterior spaces. The design emphasizes sustainability and craftsmanship, positioning the home as both a functional residence and a statement of contemporary architectural values.

In contrast to the robust exterior, the interior of the Winkelhaus is characterized by extreme restraint and a near-monochrome palette. White-washed natural wood, plastered walls and pale flooring create a calm, gallery-like atmosphere that pushes the observer's attention outward toward nature. High‑quality finishes and products from manufacturers such as Dornbracht, Miele, BWB, Huber Fenster AG, Senso and Wever & Ducré underscore the attention to detail.
